This attractive hotel is situated at the historical centre of Madrid and offers an ideal atmosphere for both holidaymakers and those in the city on business. Nightclubs, restaurants, and bars can be found in the immediate surroundings. It is close to Retiro Park, the Prado Museum and Madrid airport. Public transport departs from stops within 50 m of the hotel (approximately 3 minutes walk to Sevilla and Gran Vía underground stations).

Facility

The hotel was built in 1917. 5 junior suites, 20 single rooms and 160 double rooms are located on 7 storeys and can be reached by lift. Multilingual staff at the 24-hour reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Services such as a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access in public areas (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Rooms

The outdoor pool complex provides invigorating refreshment. A sun terrace is a great place to while away the hours. The hot tub in the pool area promises pure relaxation. For those who wish to stay active while on holiday, the hotel offers cycling/mountain biking. Sport and leisure facilities at the hotel include a gym, callisthenics and aerobics. There is a wellness area with a spa, a sauna, a hammam, hydrotherapy treatments and a solarium. Subject to charge: massage treatments.

    Unhappy guest for the price paid, felt more like a hostel than a upper scale hotel

    Location and room was great, but hotel going thru construction so one of the three elevators work, so you carry you bags up, hallway are dirty and full of dust from constrution, and worst if your planning summer and want to cool off at pool beware there is only room for 8 guest chairs at the pool area, for the entire hotel guests, and pool if very very small, so that will be a squeeze to enjoy the pool

    Great hotel and the locatipn is just perfect! The staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really tasty and selection very varied including fruit salad, potato omelet etc. Allthough our room was faced to Gran Via the street noise was not a problem at all.     Terrible - No Water Supply for Two Days

    We booked a rooftop Luxury room with private jacuzzi deck for a 2 night, weekend stay in Madrid,The hotel was situated on Gran Via (the principal thoroughfare in Madrid) and right at the heart of the City Centre.The problem? - upon arrival - the hotel had NO MAINS WATER FOR 2 DAYS !We could not wash (other than in the Jacuzzi). We could not brush our teeth, or flush the toilet. The same was true for every room. On enquiring when water supply would be restored - reception staff simply shrugged their shoulders with indifference and said that the last time this had happened - a few months earlier - it took over a day or so.On the day of our departure, the water supply got restored. When I complained after our return, I got a 50% refund.In the 21st Century, a 4-star hotel, situated on the main street at the heart of Spain's capital city should do better.We were appalled by the indifference of staff, the lack of any assistance and the lack of any apology.The worst hotel stay of my life.     Family-friendly, awesome location, spotless rooms, and super helpful staff! We enjoyed a pleasant 6-night stay at the hotel. The staff was incredibly helpful, providing us with any information we needed. The food was good, and my daughters particularly loved sleeping on the bump beds.     The hotel is fully renovated and the location is excellent. I can also say that the prices were reasonable for the period we travelled.The only negative part was during check-in. We were informed that we had been upgraded to a room on the 5th floor with a Gran Vía view, but the room wasn’t ready and we were asked to return in two hours. When we came back, we were given a room on the 1st floor with a Gran Vía view instead. It was still an upgrade, but we were a bit disappointed because we had been expecting the 5th-floor room.Another issue was that the maid accidentally took my pyjamas. Nobody ever got back to me to let me know whether they found them or not.Anyway we had a great time and for this reason I am giving 5 stars. We will definitely stay again, and it’s worth paying a little extra for a room with a Gran Vía view.
