  Great spot for coffee or something stronger!

  I spent many enjoyable hours here while on Erasmus in Alcala either getting work done or just passing time. The cafe is the perfect spot for coffee and tostadas in the morning or a refreshing drink in the sun outdoors with views of the beautiful university building and adjoining square. If you are hungry, it’s one of my favorite spots for a bite to eat although it is pricier than other cafes close by (but, worth it in my opinion).

  Nice place if you visit Alcalá, a relooking for dinner, reading a book - books available for reading having a beer coffe, juice or tea- I went there alone, with pare, and recommended the place to some foreign friends coming from abroad for a week end or a week.

  The good, the bad and the ugly.

  I have been to Alcalá many times and was looking forward to staying here. The bed was great, however my room overbooked a building site and noisy terrace. The smell from the drains was awful and made It even harder to sleep. The food is excellent quality, although a little overpriced, however the staff are useless. After a pleasant lunch I asked for a coffee and was told the waitress was too busy. I decided to give them a 2nd chance for dinner but it was even worse:I had to go to the bar 3 times to order, was left waiting over 30mins for a drink and then she got the order wrong. By the time my meal came It was cold. I felt utterly disappointed as the place clearly has potential but lacks decent staff.

  Good hostel in a great location

  Stayed in a five-bed room in late June. Beds were comfortable, and I appreciated that the room was en suite. To that extent, it felt like a hotel more than it felt like a hostel. My only real complaint would be the air conditioning in the room. Temperatures in Alcala for the four days I stayed were between 36C-39C, and even with the air conditioning on full blast, the temperatures in the room stayed around 27C. Our room had no windows, so we could not open a window for fresh air at night. We ended up purchasing a fan to try to cool the room. Everything else was great. There is a good bar/restaurant attached to the hostel, and the location is phenomenal. It's walking distance to all bars, restaurants, sites in the area. The staff at the hostel was incredible. They answered any and all questions we had about Alcala, and they definitely enhanced our overall stay. I would absolutely stay here again!

  Affordable and clean

  Close to Madrid main stream , clean and all the amenities with in walking distance. If you need something out side Madrid gran via or Center then this is the best place to stay. We stayed there one night Sept 24th 2016 we had one room with 2 bunk beds sleep for 4 with our private washroom. Room could be small but the lot of storage space provided with individual lock lockers inside the room. Linen were super clean and bed were comfortable. Lots of eating places around with in walking distance. Close to the university.Barajas international Airport is just less then 18min away drive. Parking is 3 min walk away secured and under ground charges 8euros for 24 hours.
