    A stylish hotel in a great, central location. Very quiet room, clean, friendly staff and lovely breakfast. I would definitely recommend!

    I would not recommend this hotel. If you cherish sleeping, this was the loudest Hotel you could stay in. We stayed 3 nights in a room that was facing the street. It was awful Sunday night it was a nightclub we stayed up till 5:00 a.m. people yelling and screaming. Monday 2:30 a.m. garbage trucks going by to clean everything 2 hours up and down the street. Tuesday there was moving companies decided to move office furniture at midnight till 2:00 a.m.. Every night homeless people yelling and screaming while they walk bye felt like they were in my room. The soundproofing is awful I would not recommend staying at this hotel. I asked to change my room they said that no rooms were available yet when you went on the internet to book a room there was plenty of rooms available. The front desk staff never cracked a smile, the breakfast was mediocre but the eggs were awful. The only good thing about this hotel was the location but there is plenty of hotels around.

    Great location, less couple block from subway station, Puerta del Sol, the Gran Via. Lots of nearby restaurants, clean, friendly, helpful staff. All a 10 except for a very narrow bathtub / shower setup. Not only is it narrow, but space is further limited by the safety grab bar and the courtesy bottles dispensers of shampoo, conditioner and body soap on the wall. Room 209. Take the bathtub out and install a shower plate or floor and will give a 10.

    Hotel room and bed were comfortable, but unremarkable. Breakfast food was excellent, but the outside temperature the morning we stayed at the hotel was lower than usual for that time of the year such that the hotel heat was turned off. The breakfast area was freezing. Staff brought in space heaters, but the breakfast area is large and the space heaters couldn't warm up the room.Hotel location is convenient to many sites in Madrid, but the street on which the hotel is located is dark and unattractive. Room was quiet for sleeping even with the window open.Staff was friendly and helpful.

    I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent stay at the Eurostars Casa de la Lírica hotel in Madrid. My reservation was for one night only, from April 27th to April 28th, and as I was in the city for business. The experience I had was extremely disappointing and inhuman, both in terms of the hotel conditions and, most notably, the unacceptable behavior of the staff. I checked-out on the 28th, at 8:30 AM. Later that day, Spain and Portugal experienced a widespread power outage. Due to the lack of information and communications in general , I returned to the hotel around 3:00 PM, where I had left my luggage in storage, in order to find a place to stay. My intention was to make a new reservation for the following night and to find a way to have something to eat, since due to the electricity crisis, my flight for the day was canceled and had nowhere to spend the night since the state of calamity of Madrid. To my dismay, the staff showed a complete lack of empathy and efficiency. They denied all my requests, including purchasing a bottle of water or a snack, even from the minibar. Despite the hotel having a generator and being operational at a minimum level, they refused to provide any assistance. I was treated in a cold and unwelcoming manner and was ultimately asked to leave, as I was no longer considered a guest. I was told I should seek shelter at the airport, even though there was no information at the time about whether flights would proceed as scheduled. In addition to this distressing experience, I must also point out the poor conditions of the hotel. The room I stayed in offered little to no soundproof. Throughout the night, I was constantly disturbed by noise from outside and from other guests in the hotel, which made it very difficult to rest. This was, without question, the worst experience I have ever had in a hotel. I request that this complaint be escalated to senior hotel management and also shared with the relevant booking platforms. No guest should be treated the way I was, especially in a moment of uncertainty and need.
