    Reasonable price and good location

    rating24 Dec 2025

We stayed at one bedroom apartment for family of four. The location of apartment was 10 min from Gran Via and walking distance to most places we visited. It was 5 minutes away from groceries like Dia and Carrefour. We stayed at second floor and there was a lift to get up there. We had two bright windows/ balconies overlooking the alley which is bright and airy. The apartment equipped with a kitchen and everything we needed. It is a good value for the amenities and location!

I was in Madrid for three nights so fancied a a bit more space and self-sufficiency than you get in a hotel, I got exactly what I wanted.I booked through Expedia (can’t remember why) and the room descriptions there don’t quite match the website so I wasn’t 100% sure what I was getting. I appear to have had a compact / economy one bedroom apartment with sofa bed, and it was perfect. Small lounge and kitchenette, a table to eat at or work from, small shower room and a bedroom with a fairly small, but perfectly comfy double bed.The only windows were frosted for privacy as they overlooked other rooms, not having a view wasn’t an issue for me, but could bother some people. There is no lift so you might want to request a room on a lower floor if you’d prefer not to climb stairs.Check in was fine. I’d received an email containing an instruction to call them when I got off the plane, there was no answer so I was a little concerned, but on arrival at reception someone was there to meet me and get me sorted very efficiently.Problem with the WiFi on the first night which was a bit of a pain, but this was sorted the next day so can’t complain. All in all, I feel like I got good value and would happily use again.

LACKS Maintenance/ Upkeep - good location

    rating06 Nov 2025

These are self contained apartments in traditional Spanish buildings in a great location. However ….. they are not as nice as shown on the pictures and the maintenance is poor. Bedroom door would not close due to poor fitment and bathroom door would only close if repeatedly slammed. Sofa bed is really uncomfortable with metal frame felt throughout making for a poor nights sleep. Cleaner was banging door 15 mins prior to having to vacate the room and when I pointed this out to her she should at me in Spanish !! (Not something I would expect from an establishment looking for tourist to stay). Also cleanliness of apartment would be described as fair/poor, I even found a previous guests toothbrush under the bathroom sink. Shower head was hanging off the wall due to poor upkeep and bathroom mirror was also in poor condition needing replaced. Great area of Madrid to stay in with plenty of local cafe/restaurants in the area. Gran Via is a pleasant 10 mins walk from the apartment and it’s also approx 5 mins walk from the tram station if like us arriving from the airport.

    Dissapointing hotel experience

    rating09 Oct 2025

We stayed at the hotel for four nights in a 'small 1 bedroom apartment' situated on the ground floor.Firstly, we found out that the Gran Central Suite office was in a different building than the apartments and suites. Additionally, our room had two windows facing the courtyard, which were covered with white film sheets, making it difficult for daylight to penetrate effectively. As a result, the room remained quite dim during the day, giving it a twilight-like atmosphere. Moreover, there were some discrepancies between the photos of the room on hotel’s website and the actual room we stayed in. For instance, the shower space was so small that it made taking a comfortable shower quite challenging. The overall width of the bathroom was also quite small. However, upon our initial entry into the apartment, we discovered that the bathroom sink was blocked, and the safe was locked. Although the hotel staff resolved these issues after we informed them, it did take some time. I believe it would be beneficial for the hotel staff to check the apartment thoroughly before accepting any guests to avoid such inconveniences. On a positive note, the hotel's location was very convenient for reaching Gran Via Street and there were cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets nearby. We used the metro for our travel from Atocha train station to hotel and also to the airport, which was quite convenient. The check-in and check-out process was also easy, as we simply entered the codes at the entrance doors of the building and the apartment. Most tourist attractions were located within walking distance, and the household appliances in the apartment were sufficient for our needs.I will prefer to stay in the same area if I revisit Madrid in the future, but I won't prefer to stay at the same hotel (due to its overpricing for such small size apartment located at the corner of ground floor).

    Great Madrid short stay!

    rating20 Feb 2025

Process before arrival was all pretty easy, just paying the balance automatically a week before. Metro line 8 from the airport, and a change at Nuevos Ministerios onto Line 10 and then a 10-15min walk from Tribunal worked for us. Pay €20 and get a card with 10 trips on it and we just shared it round the 4 of us. We arrived a bit early so just left our luggage at reception and went for a walk for a couple of hours. We had a 2 bedroom apartment (Room 2A) with a small balcony so was able to get some fresh air or natural light. Bathroom was a bit cramped but nothing major. All felt safe locally and there were 2 front doors accessed by a code provided by reception and obviously a door to the apartment which also needed a code. So no need for wifi access or a key which was good. There's a Carrefour Express 2mins walk which was handy. It wasn't noisy at night with people, just a couple of times some early morning deliveries took us by surprise!Found we could walk everywhere really. Las Tablas in Plaza de Espana was a decent Flamenco experience but there were others even more local. If you like football, the Bernabeu tour was €35 and not really worth it because of the building works currently - might be different when its finished. Restaurant wise, Lamocca round the corner, on the hill, had a nice outside area, but think they are part of a chain (maybe a small one). Maricastana was a good option a little bit further on. Calle Baja in La Latina had some good tapas bars and outside seating.
