  Fancy Hotel and Room but some issues...

  The hotel looks much closer to the airport on the map than it actually is. We tried to take the free shuttle FROM the airport but there was a huge line (this might have been for many hotel shuttles) and gave up after 10min and took a taxi which was 30 Euros! Apparently, you have to drive well PAST the hotel and loop around to get there which took at least 15 minutes. Very strange for an airport hotel to not be able to get there directly from the airport! The shuttle back the next morning leaves every half hour -- so we got there at 9:05 for the 9:30 shuttle. There was a short line inside the hotel near the revolving doors that the desk manager told us to wait it -- but as it got closer to 9:30 some latecomers just went outside and just milled around until the shuttle came getting ahead of some people who had been waiting 25min. The line should start OUTSIDE so this doesn't happen -- as the van isn't that big and I could see some fights break out if there are too many for the shuttle. Hotel manager nowhere to be found so everyone was on their own. As for the actual hotel, it's very nice and modern although I'd avoid the pricier "Reserva Grill" and go with the casual eating area next to it. Breakfast buffet was 27 Euros each and we just wanted coffee and a muffin so we passed on it. They should offer a la carte options but it's the Hilton so they want to maximize dollars. They don't provide top sheets for the beds (duvets only) unless you request in advance. They did bring one up after I got there. It was difficult to find which light switch worked without turning all the power off in the room (others have complained about this). TV worked but all shows in Spanish (not a Smart-TV so couldn't watch my Nexfilx, YouTube, etc). Beds were comfy and A/C worked well. Large shower and bathroom also very modern. Coffee kettle and packets were provided in the room, along with small fridge. Bottle of water was there but it was 5 euros unless you are a "Diamond Member" C'mon Hilton -- for 200 Euros a night, you can't provide one free bottle of water for every room? It's little things like this that turn guests off and make them want to stay somewhere else.   Okay if you don't need to recharge your phone

  We stayed here for one night, waiting for a plane in the morning. The room was modern and okay. One strange feature in the bathtub was that the bottles of shampoo and soap cannot be reached while you are sitting in the tub. A more important defect is that some of the plugs and USB ports turn off when you turn off the room lights. You plug in your phone, see it start to recharge, and then it shuts off without warning. That could be a real problem.   The very best hotel near the Madrid airport

  The Hilton airport hotel is a definite bus stay near the airport. They have a shuttle which operates every 30 minutes. It is a short 10-15 minute drive from the international part of the Madrid airport. We arrived a couple of hours before check-in and Pedro at the front desk worked diligently to find us a room that was ready for an early check-in. He not only let us check in early, but upgraded us to a large corner room. Customer service at its best! We had been traveling and we’re hungry. We visited the restaurant and were surprised by their high-end menu. We had a delicious bread basket which came with finally chopped tomato and aioli. We then shared a 350 g steak tenderloin which came with lovely whipped sweet potatoes and wild mushrooms. For dessert a wonderful waiter suggested the cheesecake which came with a caramel sauce and a couple of berries on the side. Both the hotel and the restaurant knocked it out of the park. I cannot recommend this Hotel highly enough. If I am ever back in Madrid and need an overnight stay near the airport. This will definitely be my choice. Thank you, Hilton.   Staff is friendly. Bad sleeping quality. Rooms are nice but you hear every move your neighbours make. Not soundproof. Food at lunch is average quality. Breakfast is buffet and nice. Shuttle bus works fine to and from the airport!   An excellent stay at the Hilton Madrid Airport

  I had an excellent stay from check-in to check-out at the Hilton Madrid Airport. I was warmly greeted by the team at the front desk and then went to a quiet, well-appointed room. During my stay, I didn't hear any street noise or airplane noise, nor did I hear any corridor noise. Very quiet and very conducive for working and sleeping. Wi-Fi in the room was fast and stable.The fitness center was well-equipped, clean, and available 24/7. Breakfast was well-stocked and very good. Didn't eat any other meals in the hotel.The hotel shuttle left the lobby on time. Due to the traffic, layout, and construction at Madrid Airport, the trip to and from can take 20-30 minutes at peak time.There is not much directly around the hotel. A big mall is about a 20-minute walk from the hotel. And, if you don't want to take the Metro from the airport, another line begins and ends about a 10-minute walk from the hotel. Good way to combine a bit of exercise with other activities.If you want to, or need to, stay near the Madrid Airport, the Hilton Madrid Airport is a solid choice.
