    My husband was booked in here for the Champions League when Madrid accommodation was pricey, expected cheap and cheerful but was given a filthy room reminiscent of a prison cell. Premises smelled strongly of marijuana, staff disinterested. Left without staying thinking it would be safer to wander the streets all night, fortunately got booked in elsewhere. Give it a miss.

    One thing is really good , hostal is only 5 mins from metro station Plaza de Espana. A bit difficult to find it. Old fashion building. Rooms are clean but smell is awfull as smoking is allowed. I was in this hotel 3 times only to spend few night hours. For a few hours thats ok but not more.
