  Unreasonable if you make a mistake on dates and try to correct straight away

  Clean and functional. Great value and excellent position right at the heart of bars and restaurants. My only niggle is that I travel to Madrid quite often and have recently started to used this hostel but when I booked for my next trip in Feb 24 I put the wrong dates in and although Hotels.com reached out to them within a few minutes of my mistake they would not allow me to rebook for the correct dates without loosing all my money and re booking. Hence my low score and I will not be going back as they have lost my loyalty. (Without their unreasonable stance it would have been 10* to be fair.)

  Good location, horrible hotel

  Stayed here for three nights. We didn’t get the room we payed for, but how can I complain ’cause the staff doesn’t speak ANY english. I’m usually not a light sleeper, but I slept very poorly due to the traffic noises which you can hear to the room clearly. The room was really small, cigarette burned sheets, dirty towels and the bed was maybe 100x180cm made from crinkly steel. You can also hear complete conversations from the room next to you. Only plus is the location. Definately not worth the price!

  Located in the very center of the city at the edge of the Puerta del Sol, almost all the main attractions of Madrid are in walk distances. At night could be noisy. You could easily reach the Grand Via or the Retiro Park and the main museums. There are all kind of restaurants in the neighbourhood. The rooms are small, the towels are not really clean but the hostal is a good option for a few nights stand.

  Location is absolutely perfect in the center of Madrid. Good WiFi. Air Conditioning. Can be noisy especially by night. Old furniture. Basic amenities. Towels were changed after 2-3 days. You get 3 keys, one for the Building entrance door, one for the entrance in the Guesthouse and one for the room.

  It is a fine place if you opt to stay at the Hostal only to sleep and wash. Location is the highlight of this place since is it very close to most of the main attractions. The place is very old and tends to be noisy especially on a Saturday night. However, the room was nicely heated and the staff tries its best to keep the place tidy. Considering the bargain price it is worth staying. The small bath inside the room is a bit awkward.
