  A scam, avoid at all cost

  It started bad, then got worse...1. You have to go to a different address (5 min away) to check in and get the key. Then you (with your luggage) walk back 5 min to the room location.2. The description is a lie. At the room location there is NO front desk, no concierge, no luggage storage, NOTHING. Just a locked door and an elevator.3. The only way to communicate with them is via WhatsApp, or walk 5 minutes back to the other location. But don't waste your time, the receptionist won't do anything.4. The water was shut off in the middle of the night, and never came on again. Had to go to a nearby bar to use the bathroom. Asked about compensation for this mess: no response.5. After 11 days and multiple pings, went to their office. An hour later I got a response: as compensation they offered 5% DISCOUNT on my NEXT stay. Nothing else.6. Not sure, but they seemed to use a bot for the last communication. You never get to speak with "the boss", he/she may not exist.

  Horrible hotel in noizy street

  Absolutely horrible room opposite and above to clubs and bars. Rooms have walls that are so thin you can hear everything next door.Shower in a cupboard, can't open windows and smelly. No good night sleep guaranteed.

  Good location, clean, does exactly what it says on the tin. Stayed here with a friend of mine March 2022 for 3 nights. Such a great location, bathroom quite small, but en-suite nonetheless. Very clean. Lovely staff. Only slight downside walls very thin, was woken a couple of times by other people entering the building in the night. Would definitely return.

  Nothing like photos, paper thin walls!

  The photos show light, airy rooms. I was put in a room with no window, but they painted the wall to look like sun. Not a great start, but for the price, can't complain.The bigger issue is the walls are PAPER THIN. Was up all night because a neighboring room's dog would not be quiet and kept barking throughout the night. In addition, to check in, you have to ring the door bell which you can hear throughout the entire hostal. Not a big deal during the day, but there are people checking in all hours of the night. Maybe they should limit check in to a certain time to prevent this from keeping guests from sleeping. You can also hear next door neighbors talking, listening to the TV, or playing music. That aside I would give two stars simply for the location as it is smack in the centre of Madrid, and you can walk everywhere. But if you're coming for hospitality, look elsewhere. There's plenty of great budget friendly options in Madrid, where you can actually enjoy your hotel experience.

  Perfect spot

  You couldn't ask for a better location. The hotel is just a block away from Puerta del Sol. The place is run by a family, very friendly by the way. The rooms are small but pretty and clean, each with their own bathroom (towels and toiletries provided as well). The only downside of this place is it can get a little noisy at night since it is surrounded by restaurants and a night club. But, if you're on vacation like I was, you probably won't mind that much because the place is definitely worth it considering location, price, cleanliness and friendly staff.
