  Great find and so centrally located

  A clean hotel, looks like it was recently refurbished. Very quiet. Really well located just minutes from the Opera House, Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor. Breakfast is in a nearby restaurant and is available from 815 til midday. Would recommend staying here as represented good value for the location

  Cheap clean rooms with hard to find signage at the front door

  The place was inexpensive so I wasn’t expecting much. Trying to figure out how to get inside the “hostel” was not easy. The signage at the front door was very hard to find and surrounded by so many other dirty buzzers on both sides of the door. The lobby and entrance on the second floor have a flop house vibe that gave me pause.Nevertheless, assuming you found the buzzer and made it inside they have nice clean rooms with good housekeeping.

  I booked 5 rooms for my family of 11 pax. The hostal is very well located amidst all the places of interest within walking distance. Staying here we do not need a guide and can just navigate ourselves to wherever we wanna go. A lot of restaurants and bars and by 7pm the place is just so happening. Our rooms do Not hear the busy hustle bustle of city center. Highly recommend.I Do wanna Note that the breakfast cafe dat was designated for this hostal (as we took the breakfast package) was really unfriendly and Not welcoming. We regretted taking the breakfast package. The hostal shud terminate this cafe for breakfast voucher and deal with another cafe.

  Nightmare check-in, unfriendly staff and zero ambiance

  This was hands down the worst check-in experience I’ve ever had - involving completely incorrect directions, a wrong room number twice, difficulty reaching staff, and many other challenges. It took an hour and the help of two native speakers to finally get me in. On the positive side the room was very clean. On the negative, there was club noise all night that even my earplugs couldn’t protect me from. Outside the room was surreal, with lights constantly flickering off, the vibe of a brothel, and extremely warm temperatures. Staff was not friendly or very helpful. You can definitely do better.

  We stayed here for four nights in June 2025.Pros:1) Location has to be the biggest plus. It is right next to the Opera Metro station. It is a short walk to all the major sights (Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Royal Palace etc.). There are plenty of eating and shopping options nearby. 2) The rooms, lobby and bathrooms are clean and neat.3) Front desk staff was very helpful, courteous and spoke excellent English.4) The room was cleaned every day.5) The bathroom amenities were in good working condition.6) The WIFI was free with great connectivity and speed.7) There is a coin laundry facility within a short walking distance from the hotel.8) Although the name says "Hostal", we got private rooms with private toilets. 9) The place is very quiet at night and sleep quality was great. The area s safe to walk around at nights and the place is secured.10) They stored our luggage for free after check out. 11) The price is reasonable considering the location.Cons:1) The front desk is not manned 24 hours.2) The room size is small.
