  Shower didn’t worked,squeaky bed, tiny and dark can’t believe the price which I’ve paid for it! Avoid for extra few £ you can have better experience. The walls are so thin that you can hear any conversation that your neighbors are having. The only positive was location

  Old, small, expensive. If you can help it, go ANYWHERE else. For the type of room I was given I would have expected to pay about 15 euros, OK, it's near Sol but so what. For 75 euros I could have gotten a nice room in a 3 star hotel or hostal where they clean your room and give yo shampoo and have a normal－size TV. The towels and bathroom were clean though.

  Perfect for what we needed

  We have been so pleased with this accommodation for our three nights in Madrid. Being so central meant we were always close to where we wanted to go. Small room but enough hangers and shelf space for what we needed. Bathroom was big enough and despite having to hold the shower head it was always hot water and it meant we didn't waste water as shown on a please save water sticker on the wall. Key access meant that we were free to come and go when wanted. Three very quiet nights sleep, temperature of room perfect wuth door open on to courtyard throught the night. Helpful staff, no English, but broken Spanish was enough to see us ok. It was great we could leave luggage and only €2 a piece. Stairs were amazing.

  Budget stay yes, but a very poor quality. On the whole clean, but facilities generally poor. Shower did not have a base to fix to the wall so had to be hand held. Bathroom mirror had the only light for the room, three bulbs, two missing exposing live holes capable of electrocution. Shower curtain fixed to an old piece of copper pipe, hand bent which had fractured at the centre, the fracture taped up with yellow electrical insulation tape and the shower curtain rail fixed to the ceiling with a bungee rope. Room cleaning by request only rather than by expectation. One of the bed covers had what we suspected to be a nail varnish stain, despite this being evident/visible throughout the stay, the covers weren't changed.The Wi-Fi was excellent and allowed streaming. The location is superb, smack bang in the busiest area. The staircase had loads of character and was worn through decades of use. The positives however were fare outweighed by the negatives and we will not return.

  The worst experience ever have in a hostel. The smell, the room, the bed, the pillow, the bathroom...all was terrible. And the lady was rude with me when I asked to cancel the second night! Basically she obligate me to pay the night when I said that I was changing place. Don't waste your money here.
