Its nice hostal, in this building there are 4 differents hostals, every one at different floor. Rooms are not big, and beds small (120cm) for couple, its small. Toilet with bathtube very small also. In buildind there is a lift. Very nice young girl at reception, always very helpfull and smiled :-) she deserved to good tips cause when she did cleaning every was so clean. Very good location.

Bit expensive vs. size of room & other hostals

    rating09 Mar 2019

The hostal is conveniently located just a stone throw from Plaza de Sol in an area with many restaurants, cafés and bars. It is only a 5 minute walk from Plaza de Santa Ana and 1 Minute from Sol. The room I had was expensive (70€) given its size and the fact it had no window to the outside, ie. it wasn't possible to evaluate the weather outside. The same goes for the bathroom. Normally I can book rooms about 3 weeks in advance for approx. 50 € a night. In this case I booked it less than a week before arrival. On the positive side it was clean, offered a big bed (double room used as single), quiet and a modern bathroom. It came equipped with a TV I never used and a small table. In the evenings the reception isn't staffed. Since my plane arrived quite late at night, the receptionist (Rubén) was kind enough to get out of bed at 1am to allow me in and perform the check-in. If you arrive with a large suitcase you will find it hard to open it up completely unless one side is put up vertically against the wall.

Excellent location. Clean and friendly but no lift.

I stayed here from 9th - 11th of March with my husband and two year old little boy. It was very clean and very central so ideal if you want to be right in the centre of the action and have the hotel as somewhere to crash which is what we did. Right in the middle of everything but hard to spot from the outside. We had a room with three single beds and the room was clean. Now for the negatives. There is no lift and you have to walk up at least fifty stairs which isn’t ideal when you are travelling with a toddler. A pram. And two heavy suit cases. No cot was offered so our little boy slept with us. No tea and coffee making facilities either which was a shame. All in all book this place if you are just after a bed and somewhere central to stay which is what we did.

reasonable price and excellent location near the Sol. The hotel is close to the metro and several great restaurants. Rooms were clean ; bathroom is clean too .my room was in side of street and it was little noisy but tolerable. Free wifi was also available for guests. Ms CRISTINA is my reception , and she was nice and kind . Negative points: it was in 3th floor and hostal hasn't elevator !!

    No complaints

Stayed here during half term holiday with wife n 2 year old. Check in was easy n room was basic but comfortable. We got what we paid for. It was inexpensive considering location. The staff are friendly but do not speak much English. I think reception is open from 12pm to 11am. Its not a hotel but a hostal. The best thing about this place is the location. It was within walking distance to most places and you had the metro at puerta del sol literally on the doorstep. The hotel does not really give any information on the sights etc but at the metro there is tourist information. They do not do breakfast here but plenty of cafes near by for breakfast. If you come here expecting 5 star amenities then dont bother booking. Its just a hostal that is cheap n cheerful. I had no problems here. The ladys warmed up milk for my daughter and showed affection towards her. On the whole great location
