  It's okay. The rooms are basic but clean. The staff is friendly. The Wi-Fi is terrible. Don’t even try to download your emails. The little café in the hotel is charming. Coffee and pastries are good. Overall, this hotel has more of an airport hotel vibe than a boutique hotel vibe in the center of the city.   Airconditioning did not work, even after they were notified; they did nothing. They put the two single beds together and therse were not confirtable, not stable as the double bed should be. There was not toliet brush also.   Randomly cancelled my stay due to being unable to accept a basic credit card; despite providing different card details they did not attempt to take payment and then cancelled the week before going. Did not answer the phone or emails.   Excellent hotel with even better staff!

  Grace (the manager) and José were AMAZING in helping me through a very difficult situation during my stay. World class customer service and empathy. They were patience and attentive to my every need. I will stay there again for no other than reason than their level of care. The location is unbeatable, walking to some of the best shopping and bars/restaurants in the city. Rooms are cozy and comfortable.   Travelled to Madrid for work for a few days and stayed at the One Shot. I think I’m right in saying it’s advertised as a four star hotel – but for me it lacked the service and amenities for this rating – especially as a business traveller. The hotel is designed so that all rooms face onto a busy street – luckily they found me a room on the fourth floor – which was still quite noisy as the double glazed windows didn’t fit properly. The drain for the ‘raindrop’ shower which they bang on about on the website was blocked – so on my first use it flooded the room. The restaurant had inflexible opening times. It’s advertised as being open from midday to midnight – but in fact it closed from 4pm and doesn’t start serving dinner til 8pm. When I’m getting up early the next day for work, I don’t really want to wait til then for food - but that’s a widespread problem in Spain I suppose. Also there’s no breakfast buffet – it’s waitress service. I was lucky as at 7am as I was the only person in the restaurant – but I imagine if things were busier and you were in a rush to get to a meeting, that could be a problem. I have to say though – the restaurant did serve nice food with friendly service. The worst aspect of the hotel was the unfriendly and unhelpful service I received from a number of the receptionists. I wanted to check out later as my flight wasn’t til the evening but that was an immediate no. And although the hotel was very quiet – they wouldn’t lend me a room in the afternoon to change. They couldn’t provide me with an iron or ironing board so I had to iron my shirts with a rather ineffective steamer. And when I asked how I could get food early evening that just told me to ring uber up and eat in my tiny room!To cap it all at check out – even though we were paying a fair amount for the room – they tried to charge me 2 euros for a bottle of water I had drunk which I had (wrongly) assumed was complimentary. So petty! I was pretty fed up with them by this time so blankly refused.
