A good enough place

The location is good, a few blocks off the main drag of Gran Via and a block or two from the Plaza de Espana metro station. The room was big enough and clean enough. Shower pressure was good and water hot. The lobby was OK, and breakfast was just OK. I guess we were on a route for the sanitation and deliverypersons because around 5 in the morning big trucks came roaring thru. It was just a minute or so, but enough to disrupt sleep. The staff was pleasant. Great service and comfortable

It may not have all the mod cons but makes up for it in helpful & friendly staff especially when you can only say "Hola "in spanish.Nothing was too much trouble. Location was easy walking distance to the Palace and restaurant.Also all day acess drinking water and coffee was a life saver. We had a really good stay at this hotel. Bed was comfy, front-desk staff were very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was awesome. The location was quite convenient as it was very central (good for walking) and near two Metro stations. It was on a quiet little road so not noisy at all, as well. I'd stay there again. We stayed 2 nights and the best thing about the hotel was the location - it was perfect for us. Very much in the middle of things. Plenty of restaurants, shops, city attractions a short walk away. Our room was nice and comfortable. Staff were also excellent and very helpful. We needed a car park which was a short distance from the hotel - a bit pricey at 25 euros a day but oh well. It was a good hotel. Well located in the center of Madrid, and clean rooms. The breakfast was not that rich and the room was small for the rate per night. Yet I cannot complain as it is a 3* hotel and it was very clean. The staff were also friendly and helpful.
