Friendly staff. Fun and very helpful especially the front desk staff. Hostess in the breakfast area not so much, ate breakfast next door instead.Rooms comfortable.Cleaning left note which was very nice.Great location

Chosen for location to train and metro station. Don’t be put off by star ratings as this hotel punches above its weight. Welcoming front desk, housekeeping on point, breakfast included and adequate. Nice room overlooking station and surprisingly quiet. Would easily stay here again.

A Great Place to Stay in Madrid!

I am a solo traveller, for the most part, and I have stayed in the Hotel Mediodia seven or eight times now. Its location, within walking distance of Atocha Station, the three museums, and El Retiro, is unbeatable. The staff are competent and friendly, and breakfast, served in a large airy room, is all one needs for a day in Madrid. The rooms are functional, clean, and quiet, and the last time i stayed there, my room had a bath, uncommon these days!

A few of the reviews here had me worried, but I was extremely happy with my stay. The hotel is perfectly located and easy to get to as it's right next to Atocha station which is also the last stop on the 203 airport shuttle bus. It's within walking distance of most major attractions and also right next to the Metro.The hotel itself is beautiful on the outside, and was clean and nicely presented on the inside. The staff were good, the room was quiet and even had a small balcony. We had no problems with sound (despite being at the front of the hotel, overlooking the road).The room was a little basic, but had everything we needed and we had absolutely no complaints and would 100% return.

Yes, the rooms are small and soundproof pretty much non existent BUT, the historic building is beautiful and authentic. Furthermore, the hotel is spotlessly clean, the breakfast was very good (gluten free available/ oat milk/ fresh coffee/ scrambled eggs/ fruit…) but above all the staff we came across were professional, nice and extremely helpful.Although there is no tea and coffee facilities in the rooms, there is a kettle and microwave by reception that anyone can use.Our flight was in the evening so we checked out at 12 and were able to use the lounge on the first floor and leave our luggage in the luggage room until departure.The location is 10/10. Shops and restaurants on your door step and the train station is 500m straight down the road. The 203 bus which takes you to the airport is also taken from the train station. I would definitely recommend and would stay there again.
