Very nice, spacious room and very clean
16 Apr 2026
The rooms are very clean and the staff is very friendly.I like the quiet that prevails in the corridors of the hotel. We are used to coming to Villaviciosa de Odon, and it is a pleasure when you can take a room in this hotel.

Good value for money but breakfast is a let down

Hotel is a nice hotel, have been before so new what to expect, it’s a little bit out of Madrid centre but you can get a cab in for about €25. The secure parking is excellent very spacious and easy to access which is a priority for my trips. Rooms nice but nothing to Bragg about breakfast to be honest was pretty poor, coffee machine not great and selection underwhelming. Reception staff were a bit bored, restaurant staff very friendly

Had jewelry taken and suitcases rifled through.

Do not stay here!!! I Had some of my jewelry taken out of my suitcase. Other suitcases riffled through. Reported right away. Staff didn’t seem to care. Only said they would investigate. Haven’t heard from them since. Food in restaurant was horrible (half cooked scrambled eggs and bacon was steamed. Food warmers were not on for breakfast so hot food was cold) just some examples. Restaurant staff for dinner were rude. My “chic suite” was supposedly cleaned but floor was left dirty whole time we were there.

An Average Hotel Experience.
10 Oct 2022
Hotel Villa Odón's location, (in Villaviciosa De Odón) is a quiet, sleepy neighbourhood that's located on the outskirts of Madrid. The only reason why I selected this particular hotel is because I had to be in this area for an important purpose, therefore, it was the most convenient choice for us. As I normally do, I'll divide this review into the 'Positives' and the 'Negatives'. PROS: Hotel Villa Odón is a clean, orderly and well-maintained hotel. There seemed to be an expansive Conference Hall at the exterior. The lobby was very attractive, and the rooms were done in a simple, and tasteful contemporary design of royal blue, gray and wooden elements. I have to say, I've never stayed in a hotel that looked exactly like the online pictures I saw of it; both on their website, on Booking.com and on TripAdvisor. They were absolutely identical, just spot on uncanny! Two small free bottles of water were placed by the kettle and complimentary tea accoutrements. The bathroom was small, but had excellent finishing. The shower's water pressure was incredible, steady and super strong! Another feature I liked about the hotel was that it had refillable containers of shower gel, hand soap and shampoo. This proved very convenient, because you didn't have to deal with those pesky miniature tubes which can be really annoying sometimes. I think this is the first and only hotel that I've ever seen offer liquid hand soap and it was great!👌🏽 I normally travel with my own because I hate using those pint size soaps they have, so this was perfect. The staff at Hotel Villa Odón are courteous and polite. We were checked in by JAIME, and later met SUSANA and LAURA- (with the cool pink/maroon dyed hair). 😎 Susana and Laura were all very helpful and professional. At Clover 35 Odón, (seemingly the hotel's sole restaurant), we interacted with JESUS and CRISTOBAL. These guys were really sweet and friendly. At the breakfast buffet in Clover 35 Odón, they had a hot chocolate machine with a brand called 'Perugina Perugia', which dispensed the most delicious hot chocolate I've ever had the pleasure of tasting in my life! ☕️🍫😋 This hot chocolate was sublime; so dark, sweet, rich, and silky smooth to the point of being slimy even!🤤 It was absolutely phenomenal and I looked forward to several cups of that every morning! Every staff member at the hotel, (including Housekeeping) always greeted you with an 'Ola' and a lovely smile. My daughter enjoyed the 2 meals she had at Clover 35 Odón Restaurant. She had Solomillo de Vaca Foie Fresco, (a thin steak) and Lomo Salmón Marinado en Teriyaki Ahumado Y Tallarin de Calabacin, (a salmon dish). CONS:As I mentioned at the beginning of this review, the location of this hotel is not exactly ideal; especially if you're a tourist in Madrid. Villaviciosa de Odón is more or less an industrial type suburb with tons of warehouse like offices and what appeared to be factories, or at least their headquarters or the main branches of national companies. Upon arrival at Hotel Villa Odón, we requested a Bellhop/Porter to assist with our 4 suitcases, but were told none was available. I proceeded to ask for that four-wheeled luggage transporter arch thing, but they also didn't have that. We had to personally take our suitcases to the room. I get that labour is expensive in Europe and all; nevertheless, for a 4 Star Hotel/for the daily rate we paid- I think this is simply unacceptable.Due to Hotel Villa Odón's location, there's no easy access to taxis whatsoever. You either had to call an Uber, or order a cab from the hotel's lobby, even though it takes just a few minutes to arrive. Meanwhile back in our room, there was no carpet or any floor rug. Would have liked some form of carpeting in the room. The hotel's pool area was said to be closed when we tried to visit. Our bed was comfortable, but the mattrass could have been firmer. I didn't like the fact that you had to often input the hotel's WiFi code. This seems a bit cheap and lowly. Though I liked the refillable tubs for liquids in the bathroom, there was no complimentary shower cap or lotion. There was also no retractable line for hanging washed clothes in the bathtub, which is now a common feature in most hotel bathrooms. Perhaps you had to request for the toiletries. There was also no iron. We had to ask for one from Susana and Laura at the reception, who wrote down a record of us having collected one. So beneath a 4 star hotel! 🤦🏽♀️The walls in our room were devoid of any paintings, except for a tiny one by the bathroom. Our room had about 88 T.V channels and radio stations, but just about everything was in Spanish, with the exception of CNN, BBC World, Al Jazeera English, France 24, Bloomberg Europe (with hardly any signal), and NHK World Japan. There weren't any movie or entertainment channels in any language other than Spanish. French Channels were also few and far between. They should endeavour to make the language selection(s) a little more international. Housekeeping was often late, even though we sometimes hung our 'Please make my room' sign on the door during the early hours of the day. They promised to change our sheets on the 3rd day, but by day 4, we still had the same sheets in place! I could tell by a small stain I accidentally left on the bed. This was very disappointing! ☹️ Why make guests a promise you don't intend to keep?!?! 😠What dismayed me the most about Hotel Villa Odón was the fact that no Room Service was available and they only had one restaurant on the premises. In the hotel's directory, (on our room's television), they gave a guide to 3 restaurants in the area termed 'Dining Nearby'. These were The Pizza, House Wine and a Chinese Restaurant. How bizarre! 🤨 If you wanted to eat at anytime after breakfast, you had to go to the restaurant in person. A very limited menu was available for both lunch and dinner at Clover 35 Odón (Restaurant Terrace Lounge Bar), and it was what they deemed fit to offer. My daughter was the only one who dined there on two occasions, and she had a decent experience with her steak and salmon, but for their cheesecake called Cheesecake Fluida Casera, she said it was grainy and unpleasant. In my personal opinion, a hotel with a 4 Star rating should definitely have more than one restaurant. Thank God there was a McDonald's and a Burger King within walking distance from the hotel- (about 10 to 12 minutes), and we were left with no choice but to keep visiting those from time to time. Didn't know where the aforementioned restaurants were located.Breakfast at Clover 35 Odón was a big disappointment! It cost 11 Euros per person. The choices were quite limited, especially at the hot food station. All they had was a chafing dish of badly scrambled, bland eggs and bacon rashers. There was a cold potato frittata-esque pie cut into triangles daily. There was also 3 kinds of cheese slices/cubes, various prosciuttos/salamis/ham slices, boiled eggs, chicken slices, tomato and avocado slices. The avocado slices were available on only one morning. They had 5 kinds of fresh cut fruit (melon/cantaloupe, kiwi, pineapple, orange & watermelon). Apples, kiwis and pears in their skin were placed in a 2 tiered caddy. They also had 3 cereals, 2 sweet pastries, 2 doughnuts (plain & chocolate), chocolate-chip cookies, 2 kinds of muffins and 2 kinds of yogurt, 4 types of bread slices/rolls (white & brown), and several condiments for them. Orange, peach and 2 Detox Juices were available, as well as a Nespresso Machine for tea/coffee, hot chocolate satchets, candelas brand tea bags and a Perugina Perugia Hot Chocolate machine, serving the most incredible hot chocolate I've ever had. So to sum it all up, I would say that I enjoyed our stay at Hotel Villa Odón. Needless to say, I will unequivocally say that this hotel is 'undeserving' of a 4 Star rating based on the sum total of the observations I made, which I don't feel the need to get into again since I have stated all of them quite clearly. The hotel should definitely try to amend these issues/right these wrongs, because based on the services at Hotel Villa Odón- I think it should be a 3 Star establishment. There is without a doubt PLENTY OF ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT here! Again I'd like to give an honorable mention to, and say a big thank you to SUSANA, JAIME, CRISTOBAL, LAURA and JESUS for their pleasant and professional demeanour throughout our stay at Hotel Villa Odón. Decent Hotel this is, but doubt I can confidently go ahead and recommend it, which is such a shame! 😩

Rooms with 15 steps inside
01 Jun 2022
I went to this hotel and I was given a room on the 3rd floor that had a sort of living and I had to go up and down the 15 steps to the sleeping room and bath above. The steps were really high. It was a torture for me, 'cause I was very afraid not to break my legs while going down. And no, I didn't ask for such a room!!! I had no idea that an architect could think of such a solution for a hotel room! Many rooms had such steps. The breakfast was mainly sweet, hardly any vegetable. Difficult to reach. There is a bus, no. 518, that goes to Madrid reaching Principe Pio subway station. You get off at the Euro colegio on the other side of the road and you pass over the road & cars. I recomand this hotel ONLY to sportmen. To no one else!!!
