    Wonderful Hidden Gem

    rating11 May 2026

I cannot help but love this hotel. The rooms are a little on the small side but they are immaculate and had plenty of room to store our clothes. They have and Iron and Ironing board in the room. They also have a hair dryer and extra blanket in the cupboard. There are also loads of spare plug sockets in the room which came in very handy to plug in phones, laptops etc...The bed was nice enough. I am disabled so needed a good bed. I slept very well. We were on the 11th floor and it was nice and quiet. There is a nice restaurant but I cannot comment on the food as we ate elsewhere. The bar downstairs is brand new and there is a rooftop bar that overlooks the city and beautiful to watch the sun go down. Me and my wife was often up there drinking coffee. The staff here are excellent and the least you would expect for a 4 star hotel in any major city. They were always dressed impeccably, well spoken in multiple languages, and always eager to help. We had problems with our flights and they extended our room for free. The bit that makes this hotel so good is where it is situated. As you walk out your doors you are on Gran Via. The location is amazing and everything you could ever want is right on your doorstep. Book now, thank me later.....

Great Hotel & Well Worth A Visit

    rating29 Apr 2026

First let me say that the Hotel Indigo is an absolutely first rate hotel, with only a couple of minor annoyances during our stay. The central location is absolutely perfect for tourists who want to experience Madrid life amongst the many excellent tapas bars and restaurants. We stayed for four nights in April 2026. The breakfast included with our hotel rate was truly over the top; there were more than half a dozen hot selections cooked to order, and a wonderful selection of breads, jam, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, and all sorts of accompaniments on the buffet. Our room was not huge but was reasonably large by European standards. We like two single beds close together and there was no problem accommodating this. The walk-in shower with both an overhead "rain head" and a handheld shower delivered plenty of hot water and good pressure. The only disappointments, and they were not great, was that the hotel is being renovated so the bar is not available. There is a rooftop terrace and bar which is quite small but offers glorious views out over the city of Madrid. Unfortunately it is as I said quite small, and on one of our nights they were hosting a private party which meant that there were very few seats available for hotel guests. In my opinion they should not close off 2/3 of the rooftop Terrace for a private party when the bar is not available for hotel guests. The other annoyance was that twice of our four night stay when we returned to the hotel at about 5 PM our room still have not been attended to. They simply don't seem to have enough staff.

    Nice experience!

    rating25 Apr 2026

I stayed at this hotel in Madrid and really liked it. The location is amazing, right in the center and super easy to walk everywhere. There are lots of shops and great restaurants nearby, which made everything very convenient. The hotel is clean and has a nice boutique feel. My room was comfortable and the shower was really good, which I always appreciate after a long day out.The staff were all very friendly and helpful, both at reception and in the bar. Check-in was easy and everything felt very smooth from the start.Breakfast was good, with tasty options, but I’d suggest going a bit earlier because the space is quite small and can get busy. The rooftop was definitely one of my favorite parts. The views over Madrid are beautiful and it’s such a nice spot for a drink. The pool is a nice bonus too, even though it was a bit cold.A couple of small things like the elevators being a bit slow, but nothing that really bothered me.Overall, I had a really nice stay and would happily come back.

    hate being lied to

    rating10 Jan 2026

While the hotel was clean enough, I had sorted for a 5 star hotel when booking, and this is a 4 star hotel. While certainly clean with daily room cleaning, the front desk was far from a 5 star experience (they were rude when we checked in around 10 pm and on other occasions were obviously sleeping when we walked in at a late hour). In addition the gym was under renovation and closed. We were told when we checked in it would be open the next day, but when we checked the next day we were told it would be the following week. The front desk attendant checked with management and told us later that day that we would get compensated upon checkout. when we checked out there was no notation on our room and or record of our complaint. The gym renovation should have been noted on the booking sites (we booked with 10 days of travel) and nothing leaves a bad taste in someone mouth like being lied to. Arturo Pérez, Guest Services / Front Office at Hotel Indigo Madrid - Gran Via By IHG, responded to this review Dear Charles,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I truly regret that your experience did not meet your expectations, and I appreciate the opportunity to clarify and follow up on your case.Regarding the gym closure, I understand how frustrating this must have been, especially since you were informed it would reopen during your stay. The delay was due to the arrival of new Technogym equipment from the Netherlands, which unfortunately experienced shipping delays at the end of the year. I apologize for the inconvenience this caused and for the miscommunication during your check-in.Please note that the gym is now fully operational with brand-new machines, and we would love for you to experience these improvements on a future visit. During your stay, our team offered you complimentary access to a nearby gym as an alternative, given that we have several fitness centers close to the hotel, but we understand you preferred not to use this option.I also regret the issue with the compensation process at checkout and will review this internally to ensure it does not happen again. Your comments about the front desk service are taken very seriously, and we are reinforcing training to guarantee the high standards of hospitality you expect from us.Thank you again for sharing your thoughts. If you would like to discuss this further, please feel free to contact me directly at fdmanager@indigomadrid.com. We hope to have the chance to welcome you back and provide the experience you deserve.Warm regards,Arturo PérezFront Office ManagerHotel Indigo Madrid Gran Víafdmanager@indigomadrid.com

Great location, a bit of an unusual entrance, but still very easy access. All modern , reception was all good.Fast elevators.Clean room with all the mod cons and plenty of powerpoints.Food was good, especially the breakfast offering. Walk out the front door and you are set for the day. Arturo Pérez, Guest Services / Front Office at Hotel Indigo Madrid - Gran Via By IHG, responded to this review Thank you for your kind words! We’re delighted you enjoyed our central location, modern facilities, and the quality of our breakfast. Your feedback about the entrance is appreciated—its unique design reflects the character of our neighborhood, and we’re glad it didn’t affect your experience. We look forward to welcoming you back soon for another great stay in Madrid.Best regards,Arturo PérezFront Office ManagerHotel Indigo Madrid Gran Víafdmanager@indigomadrid.com
