Disappointing bathroom and poor blackout options for a 4-star hotel

    rating27 May 2026

First impressionsWe are staying here for 5 nights and are currently on our first day. We were given a room in the old section of the hotel. The room itself is clean and tidy, but the bathroom unfortunately does not meet 4-star standards; it feels very run-down with several loose fixtures. Additionally, we discovered that it is impossible to get the room properly dark, which woke us up when the sun came up at 06:00 this morning. Kudos for the cleanliness of the room, but the bathroom and the lack of proper blackout curtains significantly pull down the experience for a longer stay.

Comfort, Service, and the Best Location

    rating12 Apr 2026

We were a little concerned when we first learned that this hotel was the one selected for us to stay as part of a family package for the LaLiga futbol/soccer showcase we were bringing our nephew to attend in Madrid. The reviews were mixed. With further research, we learned the hotel had undergone/was undergoing a renovation and with some advance communication with the hotel (they were so helpful), we arranged to upgrade our package room to one of the panoramic view, renovated rooms (for a small, reasonable upcharge). The total charge for the room was far less than we experience elsewhere for the same or less comfort and service - a great value. The hotel exceeded our expectations. It is not a true luxury hotel, but it is the perfect hotel from which to explore all of Madrid. The staff is lovely, the bed was extremely comfortable, the toiletries provided were a nice quality, and you can literally walk to any of the historic communities in Madrid (e.g., the Royal Palace is only about a 5-7 minute walk, the literary quarter 10-15 minute walk). The central location is invaluable.Everything was clean, the prior review statements about noise at night did not match our experience (maybe in a busier season that is an issue, but we got little street noise at any time during our 9 night stay). We heard some grumblings about the breakfast buffet, which was included with our rate, but we couldn't have been happier with it. Eggs, many different meats, cheeses, fruit, yogurt, pastries and good breads were available every morning and the coffee/espresso machine available for make your own made surprisingly good cappuccinos. The rooftop bar and pool/restaurant (the pool was closed the time of year we visited so the tables literally sit atop a glass cover on the pool) were nice. We didn't eat a full meal but had wine and snacks several times. The view from the rooftop - which was only open one or two nights of our visit due to weather - has a fabulous view of the entire Madrid skyline. If visiting the city again, we likely would book here. We also loved on of the nearby restaurants so much, we visited more than once (it had our nephew's favorite garlic shrimp and he tried many others in the city - all good but the O'Faro Finisterre was the best according to him). Comunicacion Inhala Hotel Garden, Marketing at Inhala Hotel Garden, responded to this review Dear guest, Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback regarding your family’s stay for the LaLiga showcase. We are delighted that our team’s assistance and your upgraded panoramic room made your visit so comfortable, and that our central location allowed you to explore Madrid with such ease. It is a pleasure to hear that you enjoyed our breakfast buffet and the views from our rooftop. We truly hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back on your next trip to the city!Warm regards!Inhala Hotel Garden

    Appalling customer service

    rating05 Apr 2026

The location of this hotel was great. However the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. We couldn’t access the bar for a drink because it was full with non guests. No solutions offered and no apology even though we were guests. ‘It’s not my fault people want to go to the bar ‘ was the response I got.The pool is seasonal however doesn’t specify when it opens. No information at check in about what we could access at the hotel. We also we could not check in to our room until after 3 pmSimply a terrible customer service experience which the location does not make up for. Avoid this hotel I’ve been to Madrid numerous times and the other hotels were much nicer. Comunicacion Inhala Hotel Garden, Marketing at Inhala Hotel Garden, responded to this review Dear Pamela, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We sincerely apologize that your experience did not live up to the expectations we set for our guests, and we appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns.Regarding the Rooftop, we would like to clarify that it is a space open to the general public and not exclusive to hotel guests. We truly regret that you were unable to access it due to the venue reaching its maximum capacity. We are also disappointed to hear about the lack of empathy in the response you received; we have addressed this with our team to ensure that, even when full, our guests are treated with the courtesy and solutions they deserve. To address your other points: Seasonal Pool: We would like to note that both on our official website and across all booking platforms, it is specified that our pool is outdoor and seasonal, operating from June to September. We apologize if this information was not clear to you prior to your arrival.Check-in Time: As is standard, our official check-in time starts at 3:00 PM. We regret that your stay coincided with a period of high occupancy, which meant we were unable to offer an early check-in and resulted in a longer wait than we would have liked. We value your feedback as it helps us improve our communication and service. We hope you will consider giving us another chance to provide you with a much improved experience during your next visit to Madrid.Sincerely,Inhala Hotel Garden

    it's not worth the price

    rating04 Mar 2026

The room wasn't particularly well-maintained. The bathroom was terrible. The bathroom fan was broken from day one. We reported it to reception on the second day. The shower glass was cracked, the wall was moldy, the shower buttons were broken, and the drain was broken. For a 4-star hotel, it's not good. Breakfast: the minimum was there. No waitress ever asked us on the 3rd morning if we wanted something hot, like cappuccino, etc. Perhaps it wasn't provided. Only vending machines for drinks. I repeat, we're talking about a 4-star hotel; I expect a different service. I work in a hotel too. The reception staff was polite, smiling, and kind Comunicacion Inhala Hotel Garden, Marketing at Inhala Hotel Garden, responded to this review Dear Jessica,Thank you for your feedback. We are sincerely sorry that your stay did not meet the 4-star standards we strive for. We have noted your comments regarding the bathroom maintenance and the breakfast service to address them with our teams immediately. We are glad to hear you enjoyed the service from our reception staff, and we appreciate your honesty as a fellow hotelier. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide the high-quality experience you expect and deserve.Best regards,Inhala Hotel Garden

Mold in the bathroom and a very noicy brealfast area.

    rating04 Feb 2026

Mold in the bathroom. The breakfast area had an extremely noice toaster with an constant sqweeky sound as well as theu tried to deafen the toaster sound with som bad and way too loud bird sounds over the speakers. Comunicacion Inhala Hotel Garden, Marketing at Inhala Hotel Garden, responded to this review Dear Martin, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We sincerely apologize that your experience did not meet the expectations of comfort and serenity we strive to provide.Regarding the bathroom, we have shared your comments with our housekeeping and maintenance teams to take immediate action. We maintain high standards of cleanliness, and we regret that we missed the mark in your room.On another note, we are sorry to hear that the breakfast atmosphere was not to your liking. We use natural soundscapes, such as birdsong, to complement our "Hotel Garden" concept and create a relaxing environment. However, it is clear that in this instance, it resulted in an unpleasant experience. We are already looking into the maintenance of the equipment and adjusting the volume of our ambient audio to ensure it remains a soothing backdrop rather than a distraction. We are a project in constant evolution, and your feedback is essential for us to improve. We would love the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and show you the true "Inhala" experience.Sincerely,Inhala Hotel Garden
