  Good location is about the only thing this place has going for it. Very dreary atmosphere a soon as you enter, not warm nor welcoming. The rooms advertised in images are nothing like the actual room i was given where the wood was all water damaged, the table was rusty and coming away from the wall and the plug socket was only just hanging in, it must've been huge fire risk! Advert said there was a vending machine, but this machine was totally battered and empty, hadn't been in use for a long time. Cleanliness was an issue as I am sure this was a blood stain i found on my bed sheets! The worst thing was the noise level with in the hostel, the walls are paper thin, and everyday at 6am I could hear someone doing what sounded like moving cages, it was extremely loud. I was placed in an inside room looking down into a very miserable courtyard, I would've been less depressed in a prison cell. Also to note the self check in machine was all in spanish so this was very hard to navigate. Please see pictures to see the truly dishevelled state of the bedroom! Do yourself a favor and DO NOT use this place. I never leave bad reviews but this place truly takes the crown for the worst ever.

  I should really rate this place 0 out of 5!It’s terrible! And I mean terrible!Only stayed in all honesty because it was part of a stag party, otherwise it would definitely have been a no go!Tiny, dirty, old and run down! No reception, which was unhelpful because the keys stop working every day!Everything done by telephone!God awful!Do not even consider it!

  Horrific experience. We arrived at the hotel to be greeted by sheets with cigarette burns in, stains on the surfaces, mucas on the wall, exposed wires and more. We instantly informed the hotel that we would not be staying. They told us to send pictures and we did immediately. They didn't reply. When I asked them two days later about the situation regarding s refund, they said that they would not be refunding us because it wasn't confirmed the moment, even though we followed the instructions. Dreadful rooms and dreadful service.

  Appalling check in process - didn’t stay.

  I did not stay in the end.Myself and two Italian girls spent 30 minutes trying to check in.QR Code - not working - three attempts. For the girls also.Passport recognition - multiple attempts before it worked. No English instructions?? I couldn’t see any and had to guess. The two girls were helpful.They called the helpline - the message was ‘just follow the instructions again’. I stopped my registration to give them a chance. They got a key after 20 minutes.I wasn’t so lucky. tried again. Three attempts! Multiple information entries - why so many?I had a headache and after a delayed flight, wanted no more of this nonsense. I checked into a hotel nearby. A dismal and horrible experience.

  What a let down!

  I took my son to Madrid for his 21st birthday and booked a twin room. CONS - 1. At first I thought they’d put us in a double room as it looked like a double bed but it was actually 2 single beds pushed together. I was expecting the beds to be at least a few inches apart. This room was definitely not on the Loveholidays or Booking.com websites along with the other rooms advertised. 2. The room was very small and stuffy and had a musty smell to it. There was a little window that opened onto a messy rooftop and other adjoining walls of the hostel (pictures provided). Because of this there wasn’t any natural light coming into the room so it felt like it was night time the whole time we were there. I feel that we were given the worst room they had. 3. The mattresses were bigger than the actual bed bases and would tip over if you sat too close to the edge. 4. There was only 1 very thin pillow on each bed. 5. The toilet didn’t flush properly.6. It was quite hot and musty in there. 7. No rubbish bin in the bedroom.8. Shower either scalding hot or freezing cold.9. Bathroom door was glass and no lock on itPROS1. There was a built in safe inside the wardrobe. I wasn’t offered a key for this safe. I had to ask for it.2. Right in the centre of Madrid.3. Good WiFi connection.4. Air conditioning
