    Had to find a decent hotel in the middle of the night

    The hotel has a horrible online check-in system that resulted in me being left on the street in the middle of the night. They wouldn't give me a refund or do anything to help me.

    The place is not a hotel but hostel. It did not state that or I would not book this. Steep steps without elevator. No safe place to store luggage. Near shopping and restaurants for younger crowd. Clean and modernized rooms. The room size resembles my cruise cabin! At least the air conditioning was very good.

    RUDE, MEAN, SCOLDER HOUSEKEEPER. The worst expereince ever, for no reason.

    Let's start with the check in process. They add you on whatsApp without even asking you. Once you answered, you MUST register online and input your passport info and all your info, only to being asked AGAIN for all that information at the reception the day of your check in. Very annoying is double work. But the location of the hostal, the cleanliness of the room make up for that. Although i had a very bad experience with an extra rude housekeeper I believe her name is Linet or something like that. Without asking her anything at all she approached me to " help" me with the coffee machine in the most rude and mean way, she spoke to me like an scolding mother. She took me by surprise and I could not eve utter a word. I felt totally humiliated and mistreated.Later on, I went to the reception to let them know about the incident and she was called to apologize to me I said there was no need and she started talking to me in a defiant way, laughing at my face -again in the most mean and rude possible way. She was screaming at me and finally she turned around as if she was the mean owner of the place not a worker with zero empathy. She does not have customer service attitude, nor training, she CAN NOT been working with people, she can NOT be working with guests, she does not have the profile of customer service, she is doing DAMAGE to this hotel because I will never go back here and I will not recommend this place to anybody, on the contrary. It was such a bad experience that tinted the great time that so far I have had in Madrid the many times that I have visited. I was thinking it was a mistake to book a room on this price's range because of the people working there, only because I liked the area and there were no more options, but it was not worth the trouble. So far is the worst experience I had in Madrid, and to be clear this person is not Spanish, and if not mistaken is not the first time she have mistreated guests.

    -Do not go there. Every single person that works there was mean and unhelpful, started with the manager Vielka . The room was dirty. -the room was dirty.If you need to store your bags for a few hours after check out, they put them outside with dirty laundry bags.

    Nice spot in the city center of Madrid

    The place is situated right on Calle de Fuencarral which offer a perfect spot to explore the city center and do some shopping. We took a twin room with AC which was a wise choice considering the heat of the Spanish summer. Although the AC unit was centralised, the temperature was pleasant and throughout the day. The bed was comfortable, the room and private bathroom small but with all needed amenities for a comfortable stay. The receptionist was very kind and professional, and assisted us with a lovely stile, which is definitely an added value to the experienced. Five stars and recommended.
