  Basic but great location

  The hotel room was quite basic and small and the furniture a bit outdated. But the upsides are the very central location, next to to Granvia and the Royal palace and Debod temple area, and the very affordable price. So it’s a good choice if you want to be in central Madrid but can’t spend too much money

  The room has an airconditioning and thats it. Its a bit older, but its clean, well located and easy accessible via metro. Room size is ok, reception is efficent and friendly.price value is pretty good.

  Hotel is OLD - BUT I didn't went to Madrid to BE in Hotel!!! It has all I need - LOCATION and Cleanliness!!! SO it all it takes for me!I was on 4th floor and just few days prior to this I stayed in Radisson and there were no difference in cleanliness so...value for money is there!!!

  We booked this hotel through booking.com and was pleased at the price. There were many advantages to staying here:- Right in the centre, twenty feet from an underground station Plaza del Espania, and a quarter a mile from several other stations. When you get off at Plaza del Espania there are two exits, one on either side of the Plaza, if you come out at Starbucks entrance the road is on your left, past the Tapas bar and up a side street, if you come out with the fountain on your left then cross the square and the hotel is up the side street, again with Starbucks and the Tapas bar on your left. The breakfast is not great so go next door to the café called O'muino . The staff are lovely and friendly but their English is limited so I would STRONGLY recommend that you learn some Spanish. This applies to the whole trip, as not everyone speaks English, and why should they? Rooms are very clean if a little old fashioned and there are fresh towels everyday. DOWNSIDE: Try not to get rooms facing the street as they are very busy, bin lories late at night, pubs over the road, the station, the square all add to the fractured sleep we had. Also, the plumbing. OMG the nosiest plumbing in the world. There are no cisterns on the toilets so the water is controlled, I think, from the mains via a plunger over the toilet which is great for the environment but not so great if someone, anyone on any floor near you, goes to the toilet. The noise is incredible so avoid rooms 101-3, 201-3 etc. All of these rooms are in the corner and therefore all the pipes run down into the rooms below and above (and they overlook the street. No kettle or tea making facilities but Te is cheap. Ask fo more pillows so learn the word before you go "Quiero ..." (I want.....(whatever)....por favour.) or Mi pone ... (Can I have.....)OVERALL: We had a lovely time they do their best and that is all that matters to us.

  It's one of the cheapest hotel I've found in Madrid, 90€/night for 3-people room (without breakfast). I was scared about the low rating of the reviews, but I really enjoyed this hotel.Simple and basic: a room with 3 single beds, private toilet, cleaning service each morning, kind personnel, 24 hours reception, luggage storage for the departure day, wi-fi only in the ground floor (pity!).In a strategic position: the metro station of Plaza de Espana has an exit on Calle de Leganitos.For the low price you spend, highly recommended.
