    Pros: A usefully-located hotel. Very good reception service. Basic but adequate rooms which are very good value. Clean. Nice views.Cons: If you are above the restaurant area, even on an upper floor, you hear all the chairs being moved around up to and a bit past midnight.The restaurant food at dinner was really bad, but masses of restaurants close by in town.

    A nice hotel on walking distance to the historic building. Enough big room, but with not sufficient light. Air conditioning didn’t work properly. Well equipped bathroom.Good breakfast.Garage in the basement.

    The location is great, about 5 minutes by foot to the Monastery of El Escorial. Service is very friendly and willing to help. Rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. Beds are very comfortable. A good place to spend a couple of nights. Don't expect wonders, but it is a very solid offer for a good price. All interesting areas can be reached within minutes by foot !

    Stayed a few nights and enjoyed the friendly reception staff although the dining room wasn´t quite as good. Well situated close to the monastery and defineately a get away from the overpowering heat of Madrid in August.

    We just dropped in for breakfast on Sunday morning. Hardly any guest but service stressed and unfriendly.Toast, croissant, coffee correct. Two orange juices in two different glasses of different sizes (I generously gave the bigger one to my wife).They don’t make you feel welcome
