    Never book from this apartment hotel

    We were supposed to stay at smart rental puerta del sol on 09-15.07.2020because of the corona virus our flight has been canceled and we have no option to enter MadridAccording their request we sent them all documents that the flight was canceled and confirmation from the EU website that we can not enter to Madrid We ask to get our money back many times by email and by phone but they decide not to return the money back even they got all the proof they ask for   We beginning our inquiry on March, but they decide to ignoring our requests, act like a thieves and looking for excuses not to return the money  This apartment hotel is unreliable, never book from them !!!

    You won't sleep and they won't care

    (1) The sleeping couch is totally worn out and makes a lot of squeeking noise(2) In case of wind, the metal frames behind the windows of the other apartments bang against the balcony, making it impossible to sleep. When you call for help, they will tell you that(3) They do not have a spare key for the other apartments and there is nothing they can do. This is not just unconfortable but also very unsafe.(4) check in procedure is horrible, they make you send pictures of your passport to an unknown whatsapp number and it then takes hours for them to then send the entrance code.

    Lovely paella, nice and fresh. The whole pan was for me only. I couldn't finish it lol. Parks and museum were very interesting.Short vacation 3 days.Interesting to see a double decker bus with Madrid written on it.

    We arrived at 7 PM, there is no front desk, so I spent almost 2 hours trying to get into the apartment! They gave me a code to enter the apartment, but it didn’t work! The apartment itself was centrally located, and relatively clean.

    We mucked up the arrival by going to the apartment instead of the office but the staff were so helpful and friendly and quickly arrived to let us in. The apartment was compact but had everything we needed - comfortable bed, good bathroom, small kitchen and washing machine. The location was great,a short walk to the metro or a longer walk to town and close to restaurants and mini-supermarkets. A great stay.
