    GREAT location, great value, friendly and helpful staff

    We stayed in a quad room as a family of 4 and the room was a decent size, very clean and looked like it had been refurbished recently. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful, giving us a map of the city and booking us a taxi when it was time to leave. The location was fantastic. We were right in the heart of Madrid, with everywhere accessible by foot and Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol a very short walk away. The only thing to be aware of is that, because it is so central, it can be nosiy at night from the nearby bars.All in all, it exceeded our expectations by some distance. I have certainly stayed in worse hotels - as a hostel, I was very impressed. Should we come to Madrid for another visit, we will definitely stay here again.

    Extremely small rooms. Very arrogant front desk guy. He will lecture you about the crappy elevator before saying good morning. This hole in the wall is located in a busy street, extremely noisy at night including but not limited to women being assaulted and animals being abused. I don't recommend this place not even to my worst enemy. Eugenio Marlasca, Encargado del hostal at Hostal Marlasca, responded to this review Women being assaulted? animals being abused?what are you talking about?We are just behind the main square in Madrid, Puerta del Sol, and 100 meters away from Four Seasons Hotel.This area of Madrid is the best location in town and completely safe.The Hostal has a brand new Schindler elevator since 2022. Your stay may have been when they where changing the old one for the new one. Sorry for the inconvinience.

    I went to Madrid with the lads for weekend drinks, this place is in the middle of town, walking distance to everywhere. A lot of good bar and restaurants around. Staff super friendly.Open 24 hour reception, provided clean towels, cleaning room every second day.

    Really enjoyed our stay.Hotel in the heart of Madrid, minutes away from shops and bars.Few mins from metro station.24 hour friendly reception. We requested early chec in and room was ready on arrival.Room clean. Free WiFi. Plenty of hot water. TV and hairdryer in room.No kettle. Very good value basic accommodation, would stay here again.

    This is fantastic hostel placed in very interesting street. Room is very clean and great with nice bathroom. We had a spectacular view and great small balcony. We really enjoyed there. Receptionist was very kind to us! Would like to return there sometime.
