    Wow wow wow just perfect we have stayed in lots of Melia hotels but this one was one of the best from the minute we arrived to check into the level our suitcases were taken away by a lovely gentleman and placed in our room we were escorted then to the level lounge where there was another lovely gentleman who greeted us and explained that the array of tapas and drinks were all included in our level stay our room was very spacious and spotlessly clean with all the usual lovely extras like ritual toiletries mini bar etc we returned to the level later as there was a full free bar service from 5-7pm which we enjoyed we then went to the bar area and had food which was gorgeous then this morning we went to breakfast and the level has a separate section where you order from the menu and it was delicious the staff could not do enough for us so 10 out of 10 melia Barajas we were treated like royalty and now we are now off to enjoy our flight to Dominican Republic for our 35th wedding anniversary but will definitely return here again Hotel Manager, Owner at Melia Madrid Barajas, responded to this review Dear Madam,We appreciate your kind words about your stay at Meliá Barajas and are happy you returned home with great memories of your holiday.We’re thrilled you appreciated the seamless arrival experience, including luggage assistance and access to The Level lounge with its included tapas and beverages.Your kind words about the spacious room, premium amenities, and spotless condition are truly valued.It was our pleasure to provide evening bar services and a dedicated breakfast menu, and we’re delighted our team’s attentiveness made your 35th anniversary trip memorable.We hope to see you again soon, Kind regards,Laura L., Meliá Barajas Team

    Nice welcome at the front deskGood pick up shuttle service to and from the airport My room was on the first floor, the room was ok but not great.There was a bath with a shower over and with good toiletries There was a Safe, Air con, hair dryer, clothes steamer. Kettle with tea and instant coffee, shame that there wasn’t a coffee machine that takes pods.The bed was big and comfortable.Lots of noise from adjacent rooms and also the rooms aboveYou could hear people talking, people walking, taking shower and noise from their TV.At Breakfast - there was a good selection of food. With some Spanish specialties which was nice to see.Sadly the food that was supposed to be hot was cold. I was at the breakfast just as it opened and the “hot” food was cold. Very disappointing!There was nobody clearing tables on a regular basis as people left which was also disappointing- I was expecting better from Meliá.     Poor & Discriminatory Shuttle Service – Avoid Relying on It!Terrible experience with Meliá Madrid Barajas free shuttle on 11 Feb 2026.Driver ignored T1 stop outbound (only Spanish announcement), forced us to T4 unnecessarily.Evening return at T1: Showed room key, bus had plenty empty seats, but driver refused us & told to go T4. Airline crew boarded no problem. Stuck in pouring rain → paid outrageous €22 taxi.Complained to front desk – no response or apology after weeks.Website says shuttle stops at T1/T2/T4, but drivers decide otherwise. Felt unwelcome & discriminated against. Extremely disappointing for a 4-star airport hotel. Urge management to fix policies, train staff properly, and respond to complaints.Do NOT depend on this shuttle!     Our flight was canceled and the airline put us here for the night, and honestly—it was a solid stay. Nothing fancy, but the rooms were clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed after a long travel day.     A good hotel option for Madrid airport.

    I had a short overnight stay at this hotel having arrived late in the evening from London, prior to travelling on to Fuerteventura the next day on an early flight.The communications from the hotel in the run-up to my stay were very good with very clear instructions given on where to rendezvous on arriving in Madrid, to catch the free hotel shuttle. The shuttle service was very good both late at night and also first thing in the morning.My room was on the 1st floor, clean with good quality toiletries, furnished to a good standard (including fridge), and I had no issues with noise and slept very well.In summary, a well-run hotel with very easy and convenient access to Madrid airport which I would highly recommend for leisure and business travellers.
