Location

Located in the heart of historical Madrid, in Puerta del Sol, the hotel is surrounded by the city’s most famous monuments (Royal Palace, Royal Theatre etc.) and Madrid’s most cosmopolitan sights (Prado Museum, Thyssen Museum, Queen Sofía Art Centre and more). Also within walking distance is Madrid’s best shopping area, with numerous restaurants, bars, theatres and cinemas. Facility

The hotel was built in 1863. The hotel has 97 non-smoking rooms, which are located on 8 storeys and are reachable by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock.     This is an excellent hotel to base yourself when exploring Madrid. 30 metres from the metro station at Sol. Even though you are in the very heart of the city the rooms were quiet. A great breakfast to set you up for a day of exploring. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

    Staff were welcoming and went out of their way to be helpful. On the day of our departure they organised a taxi to bring our party to the airport. When it arrived the receptionist walked wit us to meet the driver.The rooms were very quiet in spite of the hotel's location in a very busy spot. Location is very central and sights are only a short walk away. We did not need to use public transport at all!Breakfast was great. There was good variety and food was fresh.Our rooms were clean and comfortable.It rained on one day. There were umbrellas available for everyone to use!

    This hotel is all about the location. It is a perfect spot to walk to a lot of things and easily located to catch the metro. The staff were friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast was good. The rooms are a little dated and small , but hey its all about the location.

    Marta and Javier were absolutely amazing. Their customer service went above and beyond!! They treated our 8-year-old son with so much care and love, and they truly made the difference in our stay. The place is small, but very clean and comfortable, and we still had an amazing experience. The location is perfect, and the hospitality was exceptional. We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. Highly recommend!
