It's basically what you pay for.

It's a one-star hostel, and if you are a poor student, this is somewhat the place. Be aware though; the beds are 1 1/2, and we went 6 friends, where two dudes needed to share a bed. There was very little room. I shared it with my girlfriend, and for us, there was lots of place. Another thing: the walls are very thin. Apparently, you can hear people having sex.It is although a great central place, and you really get what you pay for. as said; if you are a poor student, this is just the place.

Simple accommodation on 5th floor of building Staff on arrival at 21.30 friendly and helpful. Room basic but comfortable and spotlessly clean. Good location for bars and restaurants. Good value basic accommodation in Madrid. Would certainly recommend to budget treaveller.

Excellent location! As they said at their website...Very simple and cheap hostel, easy to find, near main railway station in Madrid. No one speaks English language, small rooms, very old building and furniture

    Friendly staff, bare simple accommodation

Upon arrival, the staff for doing the actual check-in routine wasn't there yet but another staff member who only spoke Spanish made sure we got settled into our rooms and postponed the check-in formalities till later. Their credit card device wasn't working, but the staff was accommodating and said they'll try to fix it after the weekend. We ended up paying cash. My suggestion is to be prepared to pay in cash or to send an email before arriving to confirm payment by card is possible. We were in a double bed room. Very simplistic. Double bed a bit too small for two people. Shared bathroom, very clean. Enough bathrooms on the floor, so no waiting to use them.Walking distance to bus stations and Tirso de Molina Metro station (line 1). Plaza de Mayor were in <10 min walking distance.Small supermarket right across the street. More supermarkets further down the street.

Awful, rude service and very dirty.

Scary place. Demanded money, wouldn't get get off the phone to provide apparent free wifi password (finally after waiting 25mins they gave us two possible password because they couldn't remember the right one which neither were. Keys did not unlock doors. Do not wish to describe bathrooms as they were ridiculous. There were 4 or 5 men standing in the 'reception' who looked us up and down in the most revolting ways. My friend and I have stayed in some very basic places, this is by far the worst and made us feel so unsafe we had to check out almost immediately, so glad we didn't stay the night.Would recommend anywhere before this place.Do not stay here.
