  Great place! The bathroom is shared but never had to wait or even seen anyone in the shower making me wait. The bathroom was super clean and so was the room. The staff was very friendly and was amazing with check in. The location is perfect. Right next to plaza de Sol with pubs just outside the door. The room was on the inside so I had no noise from the street at all. The bed was great and you get towels. The only thing I would advice you is to bring a bottle of water after you been to the bars as there are no glasses.

  Integrity of Management was superb they stuck to very reasonable price that was agreed.Location absolutely spot on.Tired and historic, but spotless.Would certainly stay there again, location was perfect for everything. Balcony on to street delightful.The staircase wonderfully worn and inspiring almost encourages you to time travel.

  Great location, bad service and communication

  I booked this on booking.com and it was listed as a HOSTAL, not a hostel, but had the feeling of a hostel when I showed up. We (couple) buzzed the front door, and assumed there would be a lobby due to lack of communication, so I had to go back to the buzzer and ask for directions, but instead got an attitude because I should have known that the desk was on the third floor and to the right. He was correct though, it was detailed in the hotel address as 3ro derecha. Once I got to the front desk, he kept going on and on about the directions being on the reservation. I then was required to pay for my room in cash upfront since I would leave at 530am, but my booking clearly stated I could pay in credit. We were only there a few hours for a layover flight at 8am, but when we walked out into the hallway to get coffee from the machine, the machine makes a lot of noise, and the owner? came out to tell us to be quiet. I looked at my girlfriend like wtf, and whispered okay. I went ahead and pressed the button for another crappy cup of coffee... and he walked over again, and i'm like I didn't say anything it's the machine. Then he followed up with, you guys are the Americans right?, and I'm like yeah? okay? goodnight. The location was great for one night in town, it was perfect for a late night stroll, dinner , and drinks. The attitude and service might just be a Madrid thing, since from the moment we landed we saw a pist off customer punch the wall when the norwegian customer service shut the door on them, another man yell at an airport employee for splitting up his group on the shuttle bus, restaurant employees closing earlier than posted hours. The nicest person on this trip was the passport control lady, followed by my uber drivers.

  Totally disappointed, i booked with own shower/toilet, and WiFi in the room.We got our room with toilet and shower... WiFi NOT working...(wanna call my mom in law) so i ask/told the reception and the lady answered me that she cannot do anything about it because she is not working with WiFi, she offered me to stay by the reception to use the internet there... I was still asking the lady about the room that i book with WiFi... She said there is a wifi but it doesnt mean that it is working and I DIDNT PAY THAT MUCH FOR WHAT I GOT and i should go out and not stay in the room... maybe Madridian humors... but not really funny.

  Stayed here during a weekend and had a lovely time. It was right in the middle off everything, so it was a perfect starting point when exploring the city. It was very clean but simple. Something we were dissapointed with was the fact that it was hard to get a hold off the staff since the lobby was almost always empty. Not a five star hotel, but a nice place at a good price.
