Just returned from 3 nights staying at this hotel with my husband. Our room was on the 5th floor which was fine as there is a working elevator, though small. Pros:- modern bathroom with great powerful shower- bed was very comfy- central location was brilliant- room was cleaned everyday and upon arrival received 2 free bottles of water but this was not replenished, something to be aware ofCons:- room was exceptionally small with little room if any to walk around the bed - the walls are paper thin, we could hear conversations from the rooms either side of us and could hear everything in the bathroom, so fingers crossed you know the person intimately well if you're sharing a room! If you're sensitive to noise, this may not be for you- room was quite tired (but the bathroom was modern!)- no kettle only a coffee machineWe were room only so can't comment on the breakfast but the breakfast room looked nice. They have storage facilities if you have a late flight like we did.Our room did have a balcony which would have been lovely in the summer but was not used as we're in autumn. But it was nice to open the door to get some fresh air.To note, we stayed in Madrid when the NFL game was on so all hotels were mightily expensive and i don't think this hotel was worth the money we paid.Despite all this, would I recommend? I think yes, we had a good stay, the location was good and the bed was comfy. The noise was annoying in the morning but it didn't disturb our sleep, so for the right price, it's a good hotel. Great location and the staff are super helpful! One member of our group was in a mobility scooter and everyone was willing to go out of their way assist. Many fine restaurants and pubs in the neighbourhood. Will most certainly look them up if I visit Madrid again. No frills clean and comfortable hotel in good location with welcoming staff

Great location right in the heart of Madrid off the Gran Via, this hotel doesn't strike you as somewhere particularly luxurious when you arrive but the staff are friendly, and the rooms, though small, are clean and have nearly everything you need. The beds were really comfortable. Our room had a newly renovated bathroom with excellent plumbing and a super efficient shower. No tea /coffee making facilities in the room but you can make yourself a drink in the breakfast room downstairs and there were usually pastries/croissants available there throughout the day. Buffet style breakfast was basic but there was a sufficient supply of cheeses/meats/ fruit/bread /croissants etc constantly replenished. Good breakfast. Angeline makes it better.Well located, by the Gran Vía street. Near to everything. Shopping is readily available close by too. There's a Primark very close.Public transportation is right at the street. The metro station Gran Vía is nearby.
