This hotel is located in Avd. de América, just 5 min away from the exclusive quarter of Salamanca (business and shopping area) and very close to the Paseo de la Castellana. With direct access to Barajas Airport and IFEMA (trade fairs and conventions centre) and easy access to the city centre as well as Atocha station and the popular Triangle of Arts. The metro station is 2 minutes walking distance from the entrance of the hotely.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 21 junior suites, 12 suites and 282 double rooms located in two 13-storey buildings with lifts. Guests are warmly welcomed by multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a mini fridge included among the standard features. There is also an ironing set and a trouser press. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, a stereo system, an alarm clock and WiFi provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, bathrobes and a telephone are provided. As an extra convenience, bathrooms provide cosmetic products. Wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms are also available. The hotel has non-smoking rooms and smoking rooms.

    No coffee or tea cattle in the rooms despite being 5 starts hotelNo water filling Was negatively surprised not to accept 1 hour late check out despite being relatively empty and insisting on charging extra money !!!! Very bad from the management as the receptionist said they are not allowed to give late check out Breakfast variety was ok but modestOnly positive thing was the concierge team who were super friendly and professional

    Choosing hotels blindly over the internet is a tough job. There were no prior recommendations for this hotel & I spent hours on the internet looking for Madrid hotels. First it was that one, then another. Finally, it was Peurta because it fit our budget well.When we arrived at the hotel at about 4pm, we were somewhat exhausted. Having left Marbella at 9, we had to take a train from Malaga/Antequera at 1pm. The wait at Antequera was for like 2.30 hours. The train ride to Madrid was beautiful.When we arrived at the Peurta ,we were greeted by professional staff & our rooms were quickly alloted. We were also given city & metro maps while the bell boy (a first during our whole trip) took our luggage. While on way to our room, the bellboy explained that each floor of the hotel was differently designed & named after that particular designer. The room itself was good. Spacious & clean & the washroom was huge. The lights, curtains & windows were all controlled electrically though it took us some tie to get used to it & the window contraption made a lot of noise opening & closing. There was no AC because 'it was still not summer' & we had to open close the window for fresh air. The blower would kick in automatically when the window opened. The TV had a demo of the rooms ameneties but the available languages were Spanish & French though there was an option for English too.What struck us that a four star hotel had no safe or fridge but later we discovered that they were behind a panel which looked like a wall.There were two dining options. The restaurant on the ground floor & the bar on the 13th. The bar offered spectacular views of Madrid. The metro was within minutes walking distance away & Avenue de America had many shopping & food options. Right in front of the hotel on the other side of the road was a 22 court tennis complex. How much I wished I had carried my tennis gear along.The bellboy was almost always at the reception & ready to help & the people manning the reception always greeted you whenever we passed by. The first & only hotel of the trip with the looks & feel of an exquisite property.

    I had a wonderful time in this hotel. The amenities was superb, super clean and modern facilities. Staff are friendly and considerate to all our request. Rooms are greatly designed and functional at the same time. Stunning view of the city from our room at night. Great to hang-out at the top bar/restaurant. We had to leave for a trip in Segovia so we have to miss our breakfast, instead Sergio and the staff made sure we have our coffee to take away and packed some breakfast for us. Also the breakfast choices were amazing and fresh. That is real hospitality for you!! Also, the fact that the hotel is within 5 minutes walk from the Metro and bus station makes it very accessible. Overall 110 % satisfied with our stay, made our stay in Madrid memorable. Will be coming back for sure.

    Me and my husband stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. Loved the breakfast, lots of selection. The room is beautiful with stunning views from our window. Most of all I would like to say thank you to Sergio from the hospitality team for making sure that we won’t missed our breakfast for our trip. Highly recommend. Will definitely come back.

    Great for First-Timers to Madrid

    Hotel Puerta America was a great choice for our recent visit to Madrid. We chose it because it wasn’t too far from the airport, but also located close to public transport (with two subway stops within a ten minute walk). Service was good, and the decorations for the hotel were a stand-out. Beware if you’re a coffee or tea drinker, there are no kettles in the room. We didn’t try the breakfast, and found ourselves at the local restaurants rather than the hotel one.
