  AVOID THIS HOTELWe had a very disturbing and unsafe experience at Roisa Centro in Madrid, and I feel it is important to share this, especially for families traveling with children.Upon arrival and while checking in, we were in the common area with our children when a man exited one of the apartments visibly drunk. As he passed by our child’s stroller, he began shouting and swearing aggressively, demanded that my son move, and then kicked the stroller. This was terrifying for us and our children.I immediately reported the incident to reception. The response was shocking and unacceptable. The receptionist told us that the man is an alcoholic, that this behavior happens often, and that the neighborhood is “messy.” No action was taken, no concern was shown, and no steps were made to ensure our safety. As a result, we felt unsafe leaving the room and spent the first day effectively locked inside.Because of the seriousness of the incident and the complete lack of support from the staff, we felt we had no choice but to leave the property as soon as possible. We booked the first available flight, which cost us extra money, and left on our own decision purely due to safety concerns.I requested a refund, explaining that we did not leave by choice but because the environment was unsafe for our family. The accommodation replied that they would only refund the unused night, stating that leaving was “my decision.” I explained that this was unacceptable given the circumstances, but they said this was all they could offer. Reluctantly, I accepted — however, to this day, I have not received even that refund, and all communication from their side has completely stopped.This experience caused significant emotional distress, financial loss, and a complete loss of trust. A property that allows such behavior and dismisses serious safety concerns should not market itself as suitable for families. I strongly advise other travelers, especially those with children, to think carefully before booking here.

  Wonderful, comfortable and quality space in good locatiion.

  We very kindly received a free upgrade from balcany studio to 1 bed apartment as it was not too busy - last week of May'25. Place was great and had all we needed for comfy stay and AIR CON was the BEST EVER and much needed in 30+ degrees heat!! We thought we may bang our heads on toilet/boiler arrangement but it was not an issue. No British TV so bring firestick? We were too busy exploring in lovely weather. Pros; location, easy to get anywhere, friendly bar downstairs, very quiet at all times, very clean, tidy, very comfy beds, great quality bedding, fab black out metal shutters (pull out brown cord at side of windows) easy access with digital codes, whatsapp messages, lockable luggage storage and big fridge freezer. Matias and Manuel were very helpful and sorted any niggles/supplies (wash up liquid) quickly. Cons; couple of niggles with dodgy iron and leaky kettle lid and shower was adequate, but overall all it was great and we loved our time there. Note: if you have heavy luggage you need to carry it a set of steps to the lift first. Age of steps up the floors wree beautiful but uneven so may be issues for elderly visitors. Advise you take a tea towel, kitchen roll and ice cube bags with you. Would be happy to return! Get some Tinto de Verano - better than Sangria! Can get in 2L bottle from supermarkets in the same street. Carrefour is about 50 M away and does the BEST morning pastries and all day fresh baguettes! Great place. Beautiful Madrid!   Misleading photos, unacceptable conditions, zero responsibility

  We booked this accommodation for a business trip and reached out in advance after reading concerning reviews about mold and poor hygiene. The property assured us that the rooms had been renovated and that everything was clean and in line with the photos. That could not have been further from the truth.Upon arrival, the room was in unacceptable condition—unclean, musty, and absolutely not what was shown in the photos. My colleague was unable to stay there for health reasons and had to immediately relocate to a hotel that met basic cleanliness standards and matched what was promised online.We contacted the property again to address the situation. Our message was seen, but no reply ever came. Not only was the accommodation unfit for any guest, but the complete lack of responsibility from the host is alarming.If you value your health, comfort, or simply expect honesty from a listing, avoid this place.   We booked a one bedroom apartment that can accommodate 5 people. There were 2 single beds in the bedroom and two sofa beds in the living area. The washing machine/dryer is located in the bathroom. The apartment was neat and clean.This place is generally quiet except for some stomping of feet from the people upstairs which happens either late at night or early morning. Location is so good we didn’t use the metro even once when we were in Madrid. San Bernardo and Noviciado metro stations can service this area though with the former being the closer one.Cafes and mini supermarkets are abundant in the area.Dishwashing liquid and a few tea bags and sugar sachets were provided. There is an iron and a small ironing board.The lift doesn’t start on ground level so bags needed to be carried up a flight of stairs. Check-in is done online via a link that is sent by the property in WhatsApp. All pertinent information regarding our stay was communicated in the same manner. Host is responsive and always checking if everything is okay.This is a good place to stay in Madrid and if there is one thing that can be improved, I think it’s the bath towels as they’re old and thin.I would recommend this accommodation.   Convenient and comfortable.

  We stayed in a 3 bed studio for three nights and it was pretty perfect for what we needed; it was quiet and easy to get into and out of for my walker-using mother-in-law. Having a washing machine was a nice bonus. Staff were friendly and communicated daily. Would stay here again, for sure.
