    Great location - good breakfast

    rating20 Sept 2025

Hôtel was a 10 minute walk from the nearest subway. Check in ok and room was on the first floor. Room was nice with high ceilings - bathroom very small which was a shame. Clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.Breakfast - continental - was served at the Sri Lankan restaurant next door. The breakfast selection was good with hot and cold options.Only real issue was the curtains not fitting the window and allowed light from a stairwell opposite into the room all night.

    Not 4 star

    rating02 Feb 2025

The hotel is advertised as 4 star. It is not. There are no amenities in the hotel. The rooms were outdated however they were clean. The safe did not work in my room. At one point there was no running water and when I asked the receptionist about it they said I am the only one that has mentioned it and they would have someone come the next day to look into it. This was around noon and waiting the next day to even look at the issue was not ideal. A few hours later the water was running again without anyone ever coming to my room or contacting me. The towel warmer in the bathroom also was not working. That time when I mentioned it to the receptionist they did not speak English (which is fine I am in their country but their website says staff is multilingual) and therefore was never addressed.

    Good

I arrived at 21h after long flight. The receptionist was kind and check in was smooth. I was given a room on the 5th floor but the elevator was not working at the moment, after several attempts some person managed to make it work as I was carrying a luggage and could not drag it to the 5th floor. The staff is kind. My room did not have blackouts which did not bother me much since I had to wake up early. The fridge was not cooling. The pillows could be better.Overall experience is this was ok hotel for my short stay of 2 nights.

Nice hotel spacious room with a great shower but TV was tiny in comparison to other hotels today there was a language barrier checking in as was early on corporate trip with 20 others but ten mins later gave me the requested room with balcony after a phone call due to arrival times from around the world overall nice place and nice food

It’s hard to know where to start with a review of this hotel but I would sum it up with as being genuinely the worst hotel experience of my life. The staff at this hotel are some of the rudest aggressive people I have ever met.I booked a family room through booking.com for 2 adults and 2 children for our stay during the Berlin Marathon in Sept 23. The cost was £600 for 2 nights. Upon arriving at the hotel I was told that the family rooms only hold 3 people. I showed them my booking confirmation which said 4 people(!) and asked for their help to find a solution. The receptionist shrugged and handed me a card machine. She said that I could book an additional room for an extra £300. I explained that I did not want to do this. This is when the reception team became aggressive. Tatiana deserves a special mention for leaning over the counter and shouting at me ‘YOU HAVE MADE A MISTAKE, I TOLD YOU SO, IT’S YOUR MISTAKE, YOU HAVE TO PAY MORE, ITS OUR POLICY, YOUR MISTAKE HAS TO COST YOU MONEY’. This went on and on, despite my attempts to kindly and calmly ask for her help.It took many phone calls to booking.com but they were AMAZING. I can’t praise them enough. They supported me the whole time and when they tried (and failed) themselves to reason with the hotel they agreed to open a formal investigation. They knew the mistake was with the hotel and they could prove it. I booked my rooms in June. The hotel changed their occupancy policy for family rooms in July. I spoke to a senior manager and technical director who informed me that they had numerous complaints listed against this hotel – customers who had booked balcony rooms but weren’t given balconies, mini-bars promised which never materialised, breakfast paid for in advance and then refused. My complaint was the last in a long long list.Because the mistake was the hotels, Booking.com also agreed that I shouldn’t pay more to stay there. They booked the extra room for me without me needing to pay a penny.Fellow travellers….Berlin is amazing, what a great city. A city full of great people. There are thousands of hotels in Berlin run by people who deserve your money. Artim Hotel do not deserve your money. I would urge you to book anywhere literally anywhere else.
