    Don’t make the error

I had an extremely disappointing stay at this hotel. Even though I had already paid for a room with one king bed—and even upgraded to a suite specifically to avoid issues—they claimed everything was “subject to availability” and refused to honor my reservation. When I requested a refund one month in advance, they still denied it. This place feels like a complete scam. Save yourself the trouble and think twice before booking here.

    Ok for a weekend visit.

Well located for Sol. And many other attractions. Clean and great beds. Spacious bathrooms. Room a bit cramped. We had a balcony which is nice. No communal lounge/ bar area. Very small reception. Very small restaurant area. Mainly continental food. Had that plastic bacon and awful scrambled egg. It's nice enough to spend a few days but that's about it. 2 star at best. Staff were lovely.

Well-located, great staff, but cramped rooms

    rating14 May 2025

Overall, the hotel is clean and modern, and has an excellent location, near Callao, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Mercado San Miguel, and the Gran Via. You can walk to most things and are close to 3 metro stations. The staff was wonderful and immediately took care of every issue. But our room was tiny – just enough room for a king bed, a chair, small table, and two nightstands, no dressers. There’s a small closet, but the safe inside is at least 7 feet high, and we had no way of reaching it or seeing into it. There is an espresso maker, a hair dryer, and a large screen wall-mounted TV (which fortunately did get Netflix, Amazon, Apple, etc.), but not much else. There was no refrigerator, but when we asked, they brought one. So we had to keep an extra card key in the slot at all times in order to keep the power to the refrigerator on. The bathroom was functional but small, and had a glass door, which means that from the bedroom you can see and hear everything that goes on in the bathroom – no privacy. There is a hand shower and rain shower, but the hotel only provides shower gel and shampoo, no other bath amenities. The bathroom has no fan, and there is a motion-sensor light that you can’t turn off or adjust. It goes out while you’re in the shower or sitting still on the toilet, and turns on any time you move, whether you want it on or not. The breakfast bar is nice – meats, cheeses, eggs, pastries, yogurt, fruit – but it can get extremely crowded, and you may need to wait to be seated.

Nice Hotel - some weird design choices.

    rating21 Apr 2025

Me and my wife stayed here over Easter bank holiday. As everyone has said, the location is amazing. Very central and easy to walk to all the main attractions. We booked this hotel because of its location and because its rooms were apparently soundproof. We did also request a quiet room. (I have difficulty sleeping if the room isn’t silent) I’m glad we requested a quiet room as this meant our room was not over looking the busy street - which I assume would have been noisy. As to whether the room is soundproofed, I’m not sure, we could still hear the people in the rooms above/below and the corridor. We stayed on floor 2, (room 202) and my only complaint is the air conditioning. There was a constant low level hum in the room, which you could cover with the sound of the air conditioning. Unfortunately the air conditioning would start making a clicking noise after it had been on for one hour. This was annoying and did disturb my sleep as I had to keep getting up to turn it off and back on (to cover the high pitched humming noise)The waterfall shower is AMAZING, and the black out curtains in the room block out every bit of light! The TVs are also smart and you can log into Netflix/Disney+ etc.As for the strange design choices, the bathroom door is made of glass, so not great for privacy. Would avoid if you are a “new couple”. The safe is also very high up above the wardrobe. (Probably like 7/8ft off the ground) We had to stand on a chair to access the safe and it was still a bit of a reach. The sink also has some design issues, in that the tap is a little too short for the basin, so water spreads on the surface. Breakfast was open from 8:30-11:00 and we never had any issues getting a table. The breakfast area is on floor 1, so I imagine if you are staying on floor 1 you would be woken up by the noise from breakfast. There’s an okay range of breakfast items, but mainly continental. There were pastries, yoghurt pots, cheeses, meats, fruit and bread. The room is small - id say it can hold about 20 people at once, however as I said breakfast hours ran for a while and we went at 10am and never had an issue. Check out was at midday, this was nice as we didn’t have to rush. The staff were lovely, the decor was nice, and the location is great. Overall we had a good stay.

    Nice central hotel

    rating23 Mar 2025

The location of this hotel is excellent, right next to the Gran Via and metro stations within a few minutes walk. The room was clean, comfy bed and friendly staff. Breakfast had a good choice of bread, cheese, meat, eggs, bacon, fruit and sweet treats as well as hot and cold drinks. The breakfast room is small but the hotel wasn’t too busy when we stayed so got served quickly. It was also served until 10:30 in the week and 11 at weekends! My only 2 small criticisms were the safe was high up. I am only 5 foot 2 so couldn’t reach and my husband at 5 foot 10 struggled too! Also as nice as the hotel was I wouldn’t call it boutique. There were no amenities such as a bar, gym etc but we only really used the hotel for sleep and breakfast so not too much of an issue for us but if you plan to spend a lot of time at the hotel this may not be for you. Would stay again!
