    Great central hotel with friendly staff!

    Honestly I typically never stay in hostels, but decided to give this one a try because of the location and the private room with 3 beds. We absolutely loved it. It’s a cute hostel in the perfect location. It was a 5 min walk from the metro. The room was super clean and comfortable for 3 adults. The staff was accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend!

    ​Subject / Review Title: Disappointing Experience: Arbitrary Eviction and Lack of Respect for Senior Travelers​Review Text:​I am writing this to express my deep shock at the treatment I received at TOC Hostel Madrid (Booking Code: 26050652293). As a 60-year-old professional journalist and a seasoned traveler who has visited over 30 countries, I have never encountered such unprofessional behavior.​I had a confirmed booking from May 8th to May 11th. My only "offense" was politely inquiring about Halal food options to respect my dietary requirements. Not only was I met with a rude response regarding a simple request for a cup of tea and an apple, but the management subsequently terminated my reservation and forced me to vacate the premises immediately without any valid legal or safety justification.​Evicting a guest of my age and background over a dietary inquiry is a grave violation of basic hospitality standards and felt like an act of discrimination. It is deeply humiliating to be treated this way after paying in full for a service.​I have officially requested the "Hoja de Reclamación" to document this incident with the Spanish Tourism Authority. I expect a formal apology and an immediate full refund for the nights I was not allowed to stay.​I strongly advise fellow international travelers, especially seniors, to be aware of how guests are treated here.

    A great hostel in the heart of the city

    The hostel is located in the heart of Madrid in an astonishing building dated back to the 15th century. We stayed in room 508: it was very clean and every day the bed was made and the room was cleaned. On the second floor there is a big breakfast room and a billiard table with frescoes on the ceiling. Our experience was great and we totally recommend it.

    Just back from a four day visit to Madrid with 40 of my students, and had to write what an incredible hostel this was. It’s more like a hotel…. Rooms great, breakfast delicious and staff accomodating at all times, Fernando couldn’t do enough for us - gracias!! I can’t recommend this place enough and will definitely be using it again :)
