  Great location, very short walk to big beach. Plenty of sun loungers & big pool. Room ok but not great. No hot drink making facilities, we took our own kettle. Comfortable beds but creaky. Enough storage room for clothes & toiletries. Space for suitcases. Balcony with 2 chairs, table & drying rack. Some dirty marks on curtains, walls & floor. Good shower but loose drain cover kept coming off. Fairly good sound proofing between rooms & plane noise. The worst thing was the air con didn’t work, no cool/cold air & it kicked out a disgusting smell often in the early morning! I would not recommend staying here in the warmer/hot months! Didn’t have to pay for the safe. WiFi was useless, had to pay daily roaming charges at £2 a day (Sky mobile). Only two English channels both news. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice. Hotel staff were friendly & helpful. Andreas the entrainment guy was an excellent host, always smiling & chatting, talented magician & can speak 6 (or could be 7) languages. Quickest bus to Palma or Fan shopping Centre is number 23, only costs €2 but is often very full. Ended up getting a taxi a couple of times, cheaper to get back to hotel & not from hotel (€10 difference!). Resort was okay, but nowhere near as good as Palmanova. Not enough nice shops, all the same tat, lots of restaurants, though. Recommend L’Artiste, El Goucho & Chinese Restaurant (that’s the name of it) near the Boutique Supermarket, which was the best shop in my opinion. The hotel was good enough as a budget hotel but only if the aircon is working in the hotter months. Recommend the road train, €5.50 each, you can get off and back on once.

  Fab hotel and area

  We stayed for 6 nights, hotel is very modern and spotlessly clean. Checkin after 2pm. Cases can be stored in room by reception securely even if have late flight back. We had breakfast only and theres so much choice of usual fruit, fresh omelettes/eggs, pancakes, breads, hams/cheese, cereals including peas/carrot/chips or rice (yes for breakfast!) if you are gf (like me) have to ask for bread which they will toast and also provide two schar sealed muffins too. Rooms were cleaned daily, beds made and fresh towels, small fridge in room and two small bottles of water supplied upon arrival. Bar drinks are very reasonable priced large white wine €3.50 (no measures) also do lunchtime snacks/meals again goid prices. The pool was freezing initially at start of hols however this was due to start of season and warmed up as week went on and hot hotter! (Had fab weather with sunshine), plenty of sunbeds, no need for towels on beds early (pool opens 10am-6pm). Beach is 2min walk, plenty of supermarkets around, we found the euroski supermarket in can pastilla near harbour really good. Loads of fab eateries around - loved Natur (poke bowl) opens lunchtime then in evenings 7.30 but closed on tues and they cater for dietary inc gf carrot cake amazing! Bus stops across rd, €5 each to palma which is 15/20min journey, airport bus stop is to left side a little pole with A2 on €5 and takes 5/10mins brilliant, taxi from airport €17 euro. Palma is amazing for day out to explore the old town - gf cafe violet is fab! Great atmosphere, staff were friendly, would be more than happy to come back here again and highly recommend.

  Amazing stay!

  Beautiful hotel located near airport and accessible to any sightseeing right in the heart of can pastilla, 100 meter walk to beach front. Buffett breakfast and dinner was very rich with different choices. Our superior room comes with a large balcony, 2 sunbed to relax with pool view and beach view on the side. Spacious room as well, will definitely stay here again on my next Mallorca vacation. Although our tv is not functioning during our stay but I didn’t bother since we’re out the whole day and drop to bed at night.

  Positives and negatives

  Positive comments- we had a sunny room with a massive balcony which had chairs,sunbeds and an umbrella. The location is great. The entertainment was good and Andreos? was very good with all ages and kept an upbeat attitude all day. Wendy in the bar was always welcoming. Room was clean.Negative comments-we found the food to be lacking for our taste and the restaurant to be like a cafeteria. Most of the staff did not look happy although they were quick at clearing plates etc. The swimming pool was really cold, managed to get in and very quickly out the week we were there. The exit door to beach front slammed shut and made it irritating to sit that end of the pool. There was no kettle in the room although we hired one for a refundable deposit. The balcony door was broken, we were offered to change rooms but chose not to. Our main concern was the security of the hotel. I had my handbag stolen whilst in the bar by an outsider, my husband and I chased the thief and managed to retrieve it. I spoke to the manager the next day regarding my concerns on lack of any cameras in entrance lobby and was told they are not compulsory. I felt that if there had have been a camera the thief wouldn’t have come in and was disappointed on their lack of concern for the safety of their guests.

  My stay at Hotel Alua Leo

  The location was quite strategic and easy to access the open beach, including all restaurants and Grocery stores nearby. Overall wonderful experience at Hotel Alua Leo. But only a few things must be fixed in the future:- Improving the Air conditioning system.- Providing an electric kettle before arrival at the hotel would be better so the guest would enjoy tea and coffee in the early morning.- Always making sure that water sewage is clean even after one taking a shower or using the bathroom.
