    Great Value!

    rating28 May 2026

If you are looking for an all-inclusive hotel and are happy to stay on site with only the occasional walk nearby, this hotel is a good choice. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the rooms were slightly dated but comfortable, and the pool and surrounding areas were excellent. The bars were also well stocked, with generously poured spirits that hit the spot!.Breakfast was easily the best meal of the day, with plenty of choice to suit all tastes. The poolside food, available from 10.30am to 6.30pm, was hot, tasty, and plentiful. The main disappointment was the evening meal. Much of it consisted of bland dishes in sauce, and it was often only lukewarm. There was still a good range of options, including pizza and chips every evening, but the overall quality was lacking. That said, the dining room was very well managed, and the staff kept everything running smoothly. It was also a bonus to have wine and beer on tap in the restaurant each evening, with white, red, and rosé available. The entertainment followed the usual format, with a children’s disco from 8pm to 9pm and general entertainment from 9.30pm onwards. The entertainment team were excellent, and I heard that some guests return to the hotel specifically because of them. Each evening featured a different outside act, including Spanish dancers, singers, and novelty performers. During the day, there were poolside activities such as aqua aerobics, water polo, and football. There was also a children’s club, which seemed extremely popular, and the children appeared to have formed great bonds with the team running it.Overall, it was a pleasant stay, although the food was the biggest let-down for me. That said, the price was very reasonable, so I cannot complain about not receiving five-star service when I did not pay for it.As mentioned earlier, there is not a great deal to see or do in Cala de Mallorca. The local beach is about a five-minute walk away, but access is quite difficult because of the very steep steps. They are manageable on the way down, but much harder on the return. As we visited early in the season, there was very little on the beach apart from a lifeguard. However, a ten-minute walk down the road brings you to Playa Domingos, which was absolutely beautiful. The bay shelves gently, making it ideal for younger children, and the beach bar was probably the best value I have ever visited. One other point worth mentioning is the local bus service, which stops on the road outside the hotel and runs to Portocristo in one direction and Cala D'Or in the other. We used both routes and found it very easy: you simply tap your card when you get on and again when you get off, and you are charged for the journey taken. The Portocristo bus also stops directly outside the Caves of Drach, so it is a much cheaper way to visit than booking an organised trip. Both buses leave from the same side of the road and only run once an hour, so it is worth checking that you are boarding the right one. We also visited Portocolom, which had very little apart from a couple of bars, whereas Portocristo was a lovely town and well worth a visit for a few hours. If you take the bus, you also have the option of returning by boat, which drops you off at Playa Domingos.Hope this helps!

Not the greatest experience at all

    rating26 May 2026

    ● Basic out dated mouldy rooms, lock loose and shower takes forever to heat. ● food is basic, freezing cold and same old every day.  ● cut wrist bands off at 12pm on check out so hours without drink or food unless you buy. Shocking ● poolside never hosed down only brushed over causing red ants.● receptionist, lifeguard and 1 bar staff is absolutely rude● pool dont open till 10am (when lifeguard is on time that is)● entertainment was ok. Nothing special.● I've stayed in many 3* hotels is mallorca and this one is by far the worse I've ever experienced. Its a 1* at its best. No value/respect for their guest at all.
