Location

Centrally located hotel, 150 m away from Cala Gran beach. It is around 15 minutes on foot from the pier. Restaurants, bars, pubs and shops can be found within 5 minutes’ walk and the nearest bus station is around 200 m away. Guests looking to escape into nature will find the Parque Nacional Cala Mondragó around 15 minutes' drive (or 30 minutes on public transport) away. Palma is around 90 minutes' drive from the property, and Palma de Mallorca Airport is approximately 70 km away.

The hotel has 2 single rooms and 38 double rooms, which are located on 3 storeys and are reachable by lift. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Snickers ice cream is unreal 🤌

My review isn’t that insightful if you’re staying here - but i felt it was important to share my experience as an ice cream lover 🤣 Theres so many different places to get ice cream over cala dor and after spending many years keeping my eye out for the best prices and flavours etc I’ve found that this place is always reliable. Ice cream is getting expensive all over! but here is definitely worth it! they have a great range of flavours thats are unreal with good portion sizes! the drinks are super reasonably priced too. Staff are nice too!

A lovely hotel right in the very heart of Cala d'Or

Absolutely excellent location right in the very heart of Cala d'Or. Sadly didn't make it up for breakfast due to it being a late night the evening before. Staff were lovely and friendly. Room with balcony was spot on - clean, tidy, and whilst I would use the description "traditional", I by no means mean this in a negative way - 'classic' might be a good choice of words - it was pleasant and welcoming throughout.Will certainly visit again!

What a lovely hotel. Very centrally located in the centre of Cala Dor and just round the corner from nearest beach.Our room had everything we needed. Fantastic large balcony looking onto the street but set back enough to be private. Great for people watching. There was a little Cafe serving food, drink & ice Cream which was part of the Hotel. It was reasonably priced. Probably one of the cheapest around. Thomas & his lovely wife couldn't have been more helpful. So hardworking. A fantastic little hotel. Don't hesitate to book it. Wish we could have bought Amber the dog home with us.Gary & Nicola

First of all i want to say that the stuff were superb. Very friendly and very sweet. The people at the breakfast were so kind and quick. Besides the hotel is very well located in the heart of Cala d'Or... Like 4mins away from the beach (Cala Gran) and not far away from the harbour. The neighborhood is very beautiful and we really think we made the right decision to stay in Cala d'Or over other placesOn the other hand, the hotel is a mess. Theres no air con, and itd way too warm during the day or the night so if u open up the window the street is way too noisy during the night plus you have a very noisy hotel until 23.30. The isolation is so poor that you can hear it all and early in the morning its too hot.Moreover the bed is awful... The pillow is horrible and the sleep quality is very bad. Also the toilet is quite bad... Toilet paper was used the toilet does not swallow and the flush is stuck sometimes. The hotel just provides a small shower gel and they dont give you more over the days.Plus cleaning service does not include full cleaning or towel changeRegarding safety... They supply a safe box without key so its totally unnecessaryTo end it all up the coffee is just disgusting they shall change the whole coffee machine.. Its a disgraceWe ll come back to Cala d'Or but not here

Stayed at the Hotel Antares for just 2 days while waiting for a villa holiday with the rest of my family. After reading some mixed reviews I was a bit worried, but as soon as we walked into the small reception area I don't know what I was worried about at all.The room was great for us and would definitely recommend this hotel. We didn't book breakfast as we knew there were plenty of eating places around as the hotel is very central.There was a bit of early morning noise from the hotel opposite (5am-6am) cleaning etc but the Antares can't help that.So all in all this hotel has 5* from me it was great.
