  Lovely hotel, with a great pool and views. Only two downsides:- as a vegetarian, food was not clearly marked as what it was (I ended up nearly eating ham that was hidden in a margherita pizza)- you will not get to sleep in past 7am, they start cleaning the rooms and moving beds which woke all of us up

  I was here a few years ago, the hotel was quite nice back then, but this time? I was not satisfied. We had a suite and it was quite dirty. There was lots of dark black hair found around the room and the bathroom. The shower looked like it had mold in it. They did not clean out the mini fridge, when I arrived at the hotel there was already stuff still left in the fridge from the last guest and it was not cleaned out when we were there. The food was ok, but it wasn’t anything special. The staff was nice but the waiters were talking badly about there college, and that’s not appropriate at breakfast when there is a whole bunch of people around to hear.

  Overall a great hotel however it could be so much better. This is going to seem like a bit of a moany review but it’s the complete truth of what to expect and some advice. There are good points I promise. We stayed as a group of friends for 6 nights and I have to say when you enter the hotel it’s really impressive. The reception area is lovely, really clean with seating and the staff are friendly and welcoming. We stayed in a room on the 5th floor with a balcony. It was really clean, bright and airy. The room itself was much bigger than I expected with two single beds which were pushed together. The balcony was also huge with a drying rack, 2 chairs and table. I was really impressed with the rooms. The only thing which was awkward was the bathroom door was a sliding glass door around a meter away from the closest bed so if like us you’re staying with friends it doesn’t give you much privacy to go to the toilet 💩. If you’re away as a couple I’m sure this wouldn’t bother you. Whilst we were there we saw the economy rooms (which don’t have a balcony only a small window) and they were very small and dark and I think they felt even smaller as they didn’t have a balcony or French doors. I would not have liked to have stayed in these rooms….their view was basically over the bins and had a huge drop outside their small window. The maids start cleaning at 7am and the bedroom doors slam shut so we were regularly woken up by slamming doors all throughout night and early in the mornings, this coupled with the scraping of beds which were being moved by the maids to clean was not ideal at 7.30am. The “sun deck” on the 5th floor is absolutely filthy. They have composite decking which should be a terracotta colour but it’s black with dirt and a number of the pieces of decking are lifting so you have to be careful where you step or you could trip. This would be easily sorted by a good power wash and a couple of screws and the area would look so much better and more people would use it. They call it a “sun deck” but when we stayed there was only about 6/8 sun loungers up there and 3 lounge chairs. It’s a large area and could be utilised much better especially with the shortage of sun loungers around the pool (later in the review). The rooftop bar is lovely. The views are amazing and the service is excellent. It’s a shame it closes at 22.30hrs as this seems quite early. The pool is lovely, it’s very clean and well maintained. It’s a lovely area to sit all day. The sun doesn’t start to come around the pool until around 10am. The pool toilets absolutely stink and they regularly flood when you flush the toilet. The toilets just inside the bar area are much nicer and are kept very clean. I’d recommend using them instead. The pool is much too small for the size of the hotel and there are only roughly 50 sun loungers which were nowhere near enough for when we stayed in May so I’d hate to think what it would be like in the height of summer. The bar area in the day is poorly staffed. On two occasions at lunch time we went to the bar to get a drink and there was no one there. We asked at reception after waiting 10 mins and they said they’d get someone but we waited another 10 mins and then decided to go down the road to a restaurant for food and drink. The service is very slow at the bar - not the staffs fault there just isn’t enough of them to cope with demand. This is the same in the evening, we regularly waited 20/25mins for a drink at the bar. I’d like to think it wouldn’t be the case in peak season. The restaurant again is much too small for the capacity of the hotel. It was absolutely crazy in the evenings where you were lucky to get a table ( I’d hate to be there in peak season). The food was ok, your usual half board Buffett type selection. The breakfast selection was good but in the evenings it wasn’t great. A lot of pork, fried veg and fish, saying this there was always something to eat. The bread rolls are hard and stale tasting but the rest of the food was pretty tasty. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and happy to help with anything. On the whole I don’t think I would stay here again. The hotel as a whole is very clean, the staff are very friendly and it’s in a good location however all the small things let it down.

  Excellent location close to beach and town. The breakfast and dinner buffets were excellent and I really enjoyed the outdoor swimming pool. The gym was really nice complete with free weights. Really good price for such a nice hotel! Would definitely stay again!
