Location

This hotel is located in Cala Ferrera, an exclusive area of the island of Palma de Mallorca, just 65 km from Palma, 50 km from the airport and 1 km from Cala d´Or, which has a wide selection of shopping and entertainment venues. The hotel is situated in a beautiful bay, which is dotted with pine and almond trees.

Facility

The hotel was modernised in 2021. Units include 417 rooms, including 3 junior suites, 17 single rooms and 384 double rooms, located in a 7-storey main building and a 2-storey auxiliary building. The friendly staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park for a fee. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a car hire service, medical assistance, an alarm call service and a laundry service. Active guests who wish to explore the surrounding area by bike will appreciate the bicycle hire service (for a fee). Bicycle storage is also available.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can relax and enjoy partial sea views from the balcony or private terrace of some rooms. Most units have a sea view. Guests are sure to get a good night's sleep in the king-size bed. Children's beds can be requested for younger guests. A safe and a minibar are also available. Guests will also find a mini fridge included among the standard features. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a hairdryer. 12 wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms are also available. The hotel has 11 family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

Filled with soothing salt water, the indoor and outdoor pools ensure comfortable swimming. There is also a children's pool. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. There is a poolside snack bar as well. A variety of activities such as beach volleyball, volleyball and archery or, for a fee, cycling/mountain biking, are offered at the hotel. Water sports on offer include paddle boating or, for a fee, snorkelling and diving. A wide range of indoor sporting activities are also offered, for example a gym, darts, yoga and aerobics or, for a fee, table tennis and billiards. The amenities in the wellness area promise pure relaxation. Here guests will find a steam bath. For a fee, massage treatments are available. Third-party operators offer massage treatments. Additional leisure activities include an entertainment programme, a kids' club and a kids' disco.

Meals

Dining facilities include a restaurant with air conditioning, a dining room, a café and a bar. Refreshing drinks at the beach bar are a perfect way to enjoy warm weather. Catering options include half board and all-inclusive. All-inclusive holidaymakers enjoy special extras like snacks, in addition to a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. A generous breakfast buffet, a lunch buffet and dinner offer plenty of delicious variety. Staff are also happy to provide gluten-free meals. The show cooking is a particularly special attraction.

    Nicely located to be able to walk into town. Superior room but very basic but clean and tidy. Check in was quite poor to be honest, kept being told that as we were all inclusive plus we would receive an amazing welcome gift. Got to the room and no welcome gift which wasn’t the end of the world but mini bar empty. Told reception and bar eventually filled but no gift. Not the end of the world but why keep saying it. Asked for milk for the tea and coffee and told you don’t provide it and to go to shop across the road and buy some ? Really? All include plus but buy your own milk. Thought maybe member of staff had got it wrong and asked next day and told the same ! Said it was too hot for milk but recently stayed in the Barcelo playa Blanca lanzarote and they were miles better and provided uht milk. Bar staff were all excellent as were the waiting staff. We did always manage to get a lounger but all the good ones had towels on early morning. All inc + special area loungers was good and was well monitored by staff. We’re not told about this by reception and only found out ourselves. Same with magical restaurant, a member of staff in the buffet area told us about it. We’re not even told we could lunch or dinner in there every day. Entertainment in the evening was good. All in all a nice hotel but reception staff really need to up their game. Would I go again? Yes I would but compared to other Barcelos we have stayed at reception really needs to improve.

    Pros: location is amazing it is a beautiful beach, there was always enough food and tables at the buffet, bed was extremelyyyyyyyy comfortable and the deserts were the best we ever had at a hotel Cons: no sun beds in the morning people reserve them and the staff dosnt take their towels away, our room was facing the live entertainment and it was very noisy and we couldn’t even watch from our balcony as our floor was too low, towels had holes in them and the bathrooms really need to be done up, our shower head sprayed in different directions and the floor would flood every time we used the shower.
