  Very nicely located hotel, which left nothing to be desired.

  I can only report positves here. Yes, the hotel looks old from the outside and the rooms may have already had the best years. But we felt very comfortable, it was very clean, the hotel staff was helpful and always friendly. Breakfast was equally great and rich, the pool we didn't use, however, it still had its 25 degrees now in November. If you don't want dinner at the hotel, you have to rely on good feet or the car/bike. We didn’t mind having to walk for a while, especially after a delicious supper or two. The spa area also scored points. I didn't expect a Welness/Spa hotel and so the area is completely sufficient. For hiking/biking tours, however, the hotel is ideally located. Located directly on the forest and also on foot you are quite quickly after just under 15 minutes on the beach.   A hidden Gem

  This hotel is ideally located at the edge of the village and adjacent to a National Park with beautiful forests and beaches. It has the restaurant in a separate interesting building about 100m to the east together with the gym and heated outdoor pool. All in extensive and well-maintained gardens. The rooms were clean and well-equipped and the breakfast buffet menu was very extensive and of a very high quality. Staff were very attentive. One could walk straight from the hotel into the forest for a walk or hire a bike at the hotel for a ride on dedicated bike tracks in the surroundings and to the Baltic Sea beaches. One needs a car to explore other towns and culturally interesting cities like Rostock or Stralsund.

  The Wow factor was taken at the first contact and never came back

  After having experienced a flawless, brilliant stay at a Travel Charme in Binz, Rügen, we were very looking much looking forward to our stay in Prerow. We had brought our 2 dogs as it was surrounded by nature and beach. The first draw-back was the reception: something went wrong when I made the reception and due to a fault partially of my own, the reservation was only 3 days later. The receptionist was more intent in making it clear that it must have been only our fault than looking for an alternative solution - as we had travelled 4 hours to get there and were a 1 day car-drive from home. Only after asking what solution is possible, did he go and ask his supervisor.... not the standard we're used to from a THC. But all went well and they put us in to a room we'd booked, which was obviously available, so I still don't understand why the receptionist was so gloomy and doubtful to be able to put us up. Anyway, the hotel standard is average for a 4-star, clean and comfortable, although not the most modern in the world. Unfortunately we were not allowed to take our dogs anywhere in the hotel, except through the lobby outside, not even in the restaurant, which was a bit of a damper, as that is normally possible in German restaurants. Also this is a disapointment as you pay EUR 16 per day per dog. But the restaurant as such was GOOD!!! the staff were attentive at both breakfast and dinner and the food was delicious for a buffet! We even got a special treatment because the head waiter forgot to reserve a specific table for us the 2nd night - so top rating for the restaurant! The heated pool felt a little chilly for us, so we decided to give it a miss and go walking in the beautiful forest instead. For cycle tours and long walks without dogs, the surroundings are perfect - really lovely nature/forest. However there are so many cyclist around, that it becomes very tedious to walk with dogs as you are constantly calling your dog or holding them so tight on the leash that you can't really enjoy it. But the part of the beach were dogs are allowed is good :) The beach was nice, especially as the caravans (the camping site seemed to not want to end on the north beach) were hidden behind the dunes. altogether Prerow has a stunningly beautiful forst and nice beaches, but not that great for a break with dogs!

  A good Hotel in Prerow by the forest

  A good hotel by the forest and waling or biking distance to the paths in the forest to the baltic sea and beaches. Prerow has the most amazing beaches in Germany, white powder sand, aqua water, unspoiled, raw and breathless. The hotel is good, not my exact taste of interior design, but others will like it. Otherwise perfect.

  Wonderful hotel!

  Amazing hotel, amazing location, amazing restaurant. The staff were wonderful, welcoming and helpful despite the lack of English speaking staff. The food was to die for. The cocktails perfect. Overall an excellent hotel in an excellent location.We can't wait to come back to Prerow and the Travel Charme.tip; it can be difficult to find when you first arrive.
