Located in Las Maravillas in a quiet area surrounded by greenery at the heart of Playa de Palma, this complex lies within 300 m of the nearest beach. Shops and sports facilities are to be found close by and links to the public transport network are situated directly in front of the hotel.

Facility

The hotel has 200 rooms and 56 apartments, which are located on 7 storeys and are reachable by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Guests can store valuables in the safe. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a supermarket, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden.     A very good deal out of season. Visited in October so late season but still warm - mid 20's. Apartment was huge, with a double balcony. 10-15 minute walk from a large supermarket so can stock up on very good quality produce for use in the kitchen. I cooked good meals, including calamari with the equipment provided.Less than 5 minute walk from beach.Two downsides1. Sleep quality. Black out blinds were great. But walls are very thin, and sound carries easily between walls, and between floors. Even neighbours placing a glass down on their bedside table travelled through walls.2. Guests from one particular nation at the hotel were cold, spent most of their time walking round scowling, and sat at the pool staring bored and judgementally at the people around them, and were abrupt with the staff. I left wondering what it is about German tourists that means they are so unhappy when they choose to go on holiday.

    These apartments are spacious and clean, the staff are friendly and helpful. The pool is clean, albeit a little cold, but the beach is a short walk away. On a whole the apartments are very good value for money, and I would highly recommend them. I for one will definitely be going back again next year.

    We are leaving here today after staying here a week, we found the hotel a lovely place to stay, the rooms are and the hotel are very clean, pleaseant and comfortable with air conditioned rooms, yes a little basic but I'm yet to stay in a self catering hotel in spain which generally has more than 2 rings to cook with, we generally ate out as we are on holidays anyway, we found the hotel staff very polite and the reception staff were extremely helpful with any problems or queries we had during our stay. Unlike previous comments there was an influx of new german holiday makers which on their first night were extremely rowdy and mischievous, i'm not sure what the hotel said to them but we never heard a peep from them on following nights! Playa de palma however is a german resort aimed at german 18-30's so if you're looking for British home comforts the resort itself may not be for you... other than that i would highly recommend this hotel.

    Just back after spending 2 weeks at Ben Hur and can honestly say if you're 18-30years of age this will definitely suit you. The place was just swarming with young men and woman mostly German who partied most of the night, calling out from their balcony to passers by, and throwing things over balcony's as well. The apartments themselves were very basic, as stated previously no toaster no kettle no microwave etc and also states it's aparthotel which it is not, there is no snack bar or bar to speak of in Ben Hur which we found strange. The staff are very friendly and helpful which was nice although when I asked one receptionist to ask some young men to keep the noise down I was informed if I wanted a quiet holiday I should not have come to Ben Hur! Yet nowhere does it inform you on website that this is an 18-30s holiday which I did point out to her.

    Would recommend the Ben hur apartments to anyone spotlessly clean the staff were really friendly and very helpful pool was great if a little cold but it was the beginning of the summer overall a very enjoyable experience thankyou
