    Stay at Bordoy resort Majorca

    rating29 May 2026

Just home from a 5 day stay at this lovely hotel. The rooms are very clean and have everything you may need. I went woth my sister so we were happy with the two single type beds that are pushed together. The facilities were good. The entertainment man was very active and encouraging, full of energy. We did the Disco Bingo and there was a great singer on a Wednesday. Everywhere was so clean and welll maintained. The breakfast buffet was good. Lots of choice. The pool closes at 6pm which I feel is a little early especially in the glorious evening. The life guard leave at 6Not sure why a lifeguard is needed as it is an adults only resort. All the staff were lovely and every where all very polite and helpful. We will definitely return.

    Lovely staff and Very clean

    rating29 May 2026

This is a lovely hotel. Very spacious, very clean and lovely staff. However I did enjoy going but wouldn't return. The hotel is 5 minutes from Lidl and Burger King and a nice steak restaurant just across the road. The beach is a 10 to 15 minutes walk and is a beautiful beach. You can hire sunbeds for 9 euro per bed which includes a small safe on the palapa which locks to store your valuables. The sea is shallow and clean and there is a café and toilets. The toilets are free and clean.Anyway, back to the hotel.....it is about 30 minutes walk from the old town which is well worth a visit and has a market on Sundays and Tuesdays. It's walled and the streets are very pretty and some of the buildings are stunning, and the marina which is also well worth a visit is about 20 minutes away if you walk. So it is well placed but in a little bit of a scruffy area. The rooms are nice with a small balcony with a table and chairs. We were in room 330 which was over the restaurant and looked over the roof of the restaurant but had a lovely view of the hills beyond and you could see the pool on one side and the street on the other. We were not bothered by noise at all. There was not much space for clothes. Only 1 drawer and a couple of shelves and a small amount of hanging space. The bathroom is nice with a strong shower but not room for make up and toiletries although there is a long shelf in the bedroom. There is a magnifying mirror, hairdryer and shampoo, liquid soap, conditioner and towels but if you like to use a face flannel bring one because they are not provided. The restaurant is more like a canteen. The air-conditioning is very cold so the food gets cold quickly. We found something to eat every day. There was cooked breakfasts toast, cereals yoghurt and fruit and they make omelettes for you.Dinner was salads, a hotplate grilling different meat and fish daily, various vegetables, pasta and a different theme every day. It was nice but not brilliant. In the afternoon from 1 onwards you can buy snacks in the snack bar by the pool (even all inclusive pay) and from 3 there are sandwiches and very nice cakes (included in A/I). There is a bar serving coffee and soft drinks as well as alcoholic drinks and very nice cocktails. Basel who serves there is so friendly and makes great drinks. The entertainment at night is in there too which is varied with singers, karaoke, bingo and all good fun. Matthew who is the animation guy is so funny and makes an effort with absolutely everyone without being pushy or over the top.Last but not least is the pool area. Although there are loads of sunbeds people put their towels on them early so we had trouble getting one. Also the pool is positively arctic 🥶. The sea is warmer. But it's all kept clean. Also the reception staff are nice and helpful.

    Excellent facilities and location.

    rating29 May 2026

Having worked in a customer facing environment from sales floor to management. I was pleased with some of the levels of service from some members of staff. There was a manager presence in the restaurant (Tony) but some of the guidelines of the restaurant were not implemented or adhered to.For example dress standards of an evening saw guests wearing shorts, flip flops, beachwear under garments.Food not being taken out of the restaurant was adhered to.The same universal problem of loungers being reserved and no one using until the afternoon was also not implemented, although mentioned on the website. No signs were visible.

    7 Nights in Bordoy

    rating28 May 2026

Stayed between 16th-23rd May as a couple and despite some of the not so glowing reviews I had read prior to going, I would say it’s best to make up your own mind. But here are some of my personal insights on our time here:Room:Basic but has what you need. A fridge with nothing in it and no replenishments. There are enough local shops if you want to buy water or snacks for your room.A free safe is provided. Shower does leak all over the floor and it does seem strange to have laminate flooring outside a bathroom that gets wet and a bit slippy, but seeing as it’s not my house, I wasn’t all that bothered. Shower was powerful enough to wash my thick head of hair and was cleaned daily. There are shampoo, conditioner, body wash products provided and replenished by the maids. Air con worked well and wasn’t too noisy. A balcony with chairs and facilities to hang wet towels. I slept incredibly well every night. Beds were comfy. Ours were two separate beds pushed together, but we didn’t mind. Quite enjoyed the space and the luxury of not having my partner steal the quilt from me. Downside was not enough storage space. It would have been nice to have drawers to put t-shirts, socks, shorts etc. Pool Area:Pool was clean although freezing cold. It’s okay and quite needed once you’re warm and you get in, but it does take your breath away at first. We are early risers so never had a problem getting a sunbed. We were usually at the pool around 0830. The bar staff are friendly. Cocktails are a bit of a let down for an all inclusive. There’s only a selection of cocktails available for all inclusive. They were also hit and miss with the ice to alcohol ratio. There is also no poolside service, if that’s what you prefer. You can pay for a Bali bed where you will receive fruit platters and champagne. But FYI I wouldn’t advise booking the deluxe rooms for the VIP pool area. It’s not next to the pool, has a view of a brick wall and no shade. Pool snacks are close to non existent. You get a ham or salad (literally just some leaves) sandwich or some pastries towards the later afternoon. It would have been nice to have more of a savoury selection. I’ve had all inclusive snacks at other hotels including things like chips, crisps, nuggets, sandwiches, ice cream, fruit etc. I don’t really think this hotel should advertise this as “poolside snacks” because it isn’t.We got around this by taking fruit, bread or pastries from breakfast and having them mid morning by the pool with a coffee. When you’re hungry enough to want a little snack before lunch. The atmosphere around the pool was ideal for us. We lead busy lives so enjoy the peace and quiet escape of being away. I was able to enjoy a good book in peace. There is an entertainer and we thoroughly enjoyed watching him teach the aqua aerobics. I’m guilty of not catching his name but he was a lovely guy and we had a great conversation with him about his up coming wedding. Hope he has a great time! Dining:This was a big let down for us. We book all inclusive because we love food and trying a variety of dishes. This diner does not do variety. If you like pork, you’re in for a treat because it’s served at every meal. They advertise as having themed nights but it’s mostly the same. Just grilled fish, roasted vegetables and some pork chops. The seating layout isn’t ideal. We found that you had to be in the canteen area as soon as it opened for breakfast, lunch & dinner, to get a table for 2, otherwise you’d have to sit on a table of 4 that was only slightly separated. Which doesn’t give an intimate dining experience if you’re looking for some nice quality time away with your partner. That was fine for breakfast and dinner, as we eat early at home but lunch I prefer to graze when I’m hungry, so wasn’t always a fan of going for the sake of going just to be able to get a table. Our favourite night was the Mexican night, as it was the most varied from the other “themes” and I am a big nacho fan. We went out for meals on a couple of occasions just to enjoy the area and get a bit of variety. There’s lots of restaurants walking distance. The food was good, I just would have preferred to not eat the same thing every day. Overall we did enjoy ourselves, despite this review sounding negative. A holiday is what you make of it and my partner and I are always grateful for time in one another’s company, a bit of sunshine and relaxation. We paid pennies for this holiday and were able to fly from a local home airport instead of having to travel to a London airport, which was a convenient part of the vacation, so we were expecting it to be a right dive with loud people (you get what you pay for vibe) - but it was quite the opposite. If the niggles I’ve mentioned were improved, I would consider staying again. One side note, our airport experience was less than ideal, due to the EES requirements. It took me 1hr 45mins to get out the airport. Fortunately my partner holds an EU passport, so was able to get through to collect the luggage and avoid it disappearing. This is of no fault of the hotel, but something to be mindful of.

Fantastic stay at the Borboy hotel

    rating28 May 2026

We booked the Borboy for a week's holiday. From we arrived at the hotel every member of staff we met were very pleasant. The hotel was spotless. The bedroom was very modern and clean, staff cleaned it every day. The pool area was large and had plenty of sunloungers. The hotel has yoga classes and water aerobics. The restaurant had a great choice of food, we stay half board. We upgraded to all inclusive at a extra 21 euros for each of us, which was very reasonable. Ww will definitely return to the hotel hopefully next year.
