  We decided to return to this hotel because we enjoyed it so much last year and I'm glad to so it was exactly the same .You need to do your research before booking this hotel because you need to know what to expect before you get here.NOTE It is a 3 star hotel , the rooms are very basic especially the bathrooms which really do need upgrading and it doesn't have its own pool but there's something about it that we love .We always book a sea view room and wouldnt consider any other  but had a little upset after we unpacked and onto the balcony.  The screen partitioning on the balcony that separated us from next door was missing and there was repair damage to a wall, this made us very disappointed so we went back down to reception to raise our issue.  The receptionist explained that it was storm damage and the room next door was not being used until the repair had been completed. This put our minds and rest but wished she told us this at check in so we didn't get angry once we went out onto the balcony. That screen was replaced on our last day and was not an issue but disappointment could have so easily been avoided. The bathroom was tiny in this room 302  compared with last year's 303 but soon got use to it.Cleaning was fantastic as were all the staff which were all the same as last year (good sign).Breakfast is basic but reasonable and our evening meal in the front ( called U1969 )restaurant was good .This hotel is the total opposite of what we normally go for but we love here and can't wait to go back .Thank you to everyone at the Cabot Romantic hotel for another great stay and will see you again Equipo Cabot Hotels, Owner at Cabot Romantic, responded to this review Dear Trevor,Thank you so much for returning to stay with us again and for sharing such a detailed review.   Sadly a very poor experience.

  We stayed on a B&B basis. Whilst the food in the restaurant when you are paying for it is good quality, the 'inclusive' breakfast was very poor. We stayed for four days and on day three and four we went out for breakfast instead.The rooms are very dated and the en suite also. The en suite has one light bulb and just needs to be brought into this century.The TV didn't play any UK channels and over the last two days the wifi stopped working. The fridge in the room also did not work despite us asking the staff to sort it out.The location has a lot going for it, the front of the hotel looks promising but sadly it just hides a sad old hotel that needs some inspiration and some investment. However, we always value suggestions for improvement and will take yours into account.Regarding the fridge in your room, I would like to clarify that it is not a fridge but a cooler, which is why it did not function as expected for storing perishable items.As for the UK TV channels, our IT department is currently investigating the issue, as they should indeed be available to our guests, and we apologize for the inconvenience this caused. Regarding the Wi-Fi, I’m happy to inform you that it has been fully restored after the severe weather and strong winds we experienced here in Mallorca.We sincerely regret that your stay was not as expected, and we’ll continue working on improving our services and facilities.   Fab Hotel, Location perfect....we had a room with sea view which was just magical. Room itself was basic but with everything you need...View from balcony made up for it. Staff were lovely, so helpful, courteous, nothing was too much for them...especially the bar staff, Anne Marie and the 2 young lads.. a credit to the hotel with their customer service. There was a good varied selection for breakfast each morning...We were half board, again plenty to choose from, although we did eat out a couple of nights as there were so many restaurants in the area.We will definitely book this hotel again.   Great value hotel.

  Had an excellent 5 days away at the Hotel Romantic and wished we could’ve stayed longer. The hotel is positioned right on the beachfront and about a 15 minute stroll from the centre of the port, although there are bars and restaurants within a 2 minute walk. The rooms are basic, but comfortable and spotlessly clean and if you join club Cabot beforehand, you get free beach towels. The balcony was small but adequate and toiletries are provided. Breakfast was plentiful and well organised with an array of fruit, cooked and continental breakfast choices. The staff were lovely: they all said good morning and were helpful if you needed anything, particularly the bar and reception staff. For the price we paid, it was excellent value for money and we would definitely stay here again.
