  The most family friendly complex in Cala D’or

  We have been visiting Cala d’Or Playa for over 20 years now, only missing a handful of years in that time, and it truly feels like a second home to our family. My children have quite literally grown up coming here and, now they are older, they still ask to return every year — which says everything about the place.The location is fantastic, close enough to everything Cala d’Or has to offer while still feeling relaxed and family friendly. The apartments are spacious, comfortable, and one thing that has always stood out is the balcony size — you genuinely will not find better balconies anywhere else in Cala d’Or. They are huge compared to most other complexes and make such a difference, especially for families.Over the years we have seen many changes, and while we understand places have to evolve, there have been a couple of changes in recent years that we personally haven’t enjoyed as much. Losing Lucky Lucky and Chocolate from the entertainment team was a real shame as they brought so much personality, energy, and fun to the complex and were a huge part of the atmosphere for many returning guests. Likewise, Rudi behind the bar is very much missed and was always such a familiar and friendly face.That said, Cala d’Or Playa still has a special charm that keeps families like ours returning year after year. There is a reason so many guests come back repeatedly — it offers a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that is hard to find elsewhere.For us, this place holds years of family memories and we are sure we will continue returning for many more years to come.   Beautiful place to bring kids. Apartments are so spacious and spotless! Swimming pool with water slides is perfect for the kids and big kids🤣Evening entertainment crew are brilliant, supermarkets very near the hotel but shop around cause prices vary. The only downside was the price of the breakfast. €19 per adult per day was a bit expensive but kids go free so hopefully the family would eat the monies worth because ours didn’t. The beach is only a small walk with very clear waters! Otherwise can’t fault the hotel! Really enjoyed our time there! Again perfect for kids!   Just returned from a week here with our two boys ages 6 and 4. We really enjoyed it. The apartment was clean and spacious. Cooking facilities were perfect. Kids loved the slides in the pool. Had hours of fun. Would like to give a special mention to entertainment manager Mike and his team. They were fantastic. The kids enjoyed activities all throughout the day, things like bracket making, face paint, bouncy castle to mention a few. Each day ended with a very energetic mini disco followed by a show. Every night was a different show- magic show, reptile show, movie night, etc. We will definitely be back. Had great time.   Just returned from a great week's holiday, the hotel was clean, staff were helpful, great location and the brand new entertainment team did a great job helping keep our children entertained all week and giving our family extra support when needed.   Excellent!! Brilliant complex especially if you have children. Their entertainment programme is second to none and the best we have encountered. Children are fully entertained all day with a fantastic team. Special mention to Maria Alex and Charles for the effort they put in. The complex is really lovely- rooms have everything you might need and are immaculately clean.The restaurant and bar are lovely and food quality is excellent. Graçias especially to José and Alejandro who were so pleasant and helpful as were all the staff. Breakfast was more than adequate with something for everyone and the à la carte menu had a varied choice.You don’t need to leave the complex but there are a couple of lovely beaches within 5 minute walk and the town centre about 10 minutes away. Taxis are cheap and regular if you need. This was the 3rd visit for our daughter and family and our first . We were extremely impressed and would definitely recommend and return.
