This pleasant hotel lies directly in Cala Bona Marina just 100 m from the nearest beautiful sandy beach. Cala Millor with its many shopping and entertainment venues is just 1 km away whilst the nearest links to the public transport network are about 250 m from the hotel. The island's capital town of Palma and the international airport is about 70 km away.

378 rooms, including 189 double rooms, are located on 4 storeys and can be reached by 2 lifts. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions.     Nice relaxing holiday in a good hotel

    Reviews are always subjective. This is our experience. We stayed for a week half board on 16th May. This is a 3 star hotel. Our room was comfortable, nice view over the pool. The safe was free, had a kettle for tea etc, cleaned regularly. A nice super hot bath. The decor reflects the age of the hotel. I used the gym which was well maintained. Great location overlooking the harbour, very relaxing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. When we arrived in the morning we were able to go straight to our room unlike other hotels we have used. The dining room was relaxed and comfortable. As far as we were concerned the food was great. Lots of choice at the buffet morning and evening. We never ate out. Couldn't eat any more food. Poolside was very pleasant and relaxing. Didn't use the entertainment but it was definitely there. We had a very relaxing holiday with endless sunshine. Great beach nearby. Lovely promenade walk. We would definitely stay here again.

    Nice hotel, bit dated and bathroom lacked a good scrub but was spacious and beds comfy. Pillows not to my personal liking but thats ok. Had an old adjoining room so we heard everything from the room next door, sneezing, talking and snoring! Agh. Balcony huge and facing the mountains which was lovely and we had the sun in afternoon. Food, only had breakfast but they catered well for Gluten free. Had their own station, schar products such as bread, muffins and cereal in packets. Good selection of just about everything else, hot buffet and cold meats cheeses etc. the fruit was delicious and of course drinks both hot and cold. Close to all you needed, gorgeous scenery and restaurants all catering for Gluten free too. Sangria was the best!

    The hotel is in a great location, with plenty of amenities, restaurants, and activities nearby. Unfortunately, beyond the location, our experience fell well short of what I would expect from a 4-star hotel.We booked a Mountain View room, but the reality was a view of another building and an alleyway, accompanied by the constant noise of a leaf blower outside. The room itself had several maintenance issues. The shower flooded the entire bathroom every time it was used, there was visible mould in the shower area, and with no extraction fan in the bathroom, it remained steamed up for hours afterwards. The air conditioning also failed to work properly, making the room uncomfortable.Housekeeping was inconsistent. Even when we left towels in the bath to be replaced, they were often not changed. The food was very average throughout our stay, and vegetarian options were limited. At breakfast, meat was being cooked alongside eggs, which may be off-putting for some guests.The most frustrating issue was the room key cards. Almost every time we returned to our room, the cards had stopped working, meaning another trip to reception to have them reactivated. Even more concerning, reception staff never checked our identity before reactivating the cards, which raises serious security concerns as anyone could potentially have requested access to our room.We also found the local knowledge of the reception team to be lacking. When we asked about hiring paddle boards, we were told we would need to travel to Cala Millor. After doing our own research, we found several rental options practically on the hotel’s doorstep.Overall, while the location is excellent, the hotel does not meet the standards I would expect from a 4-star property. There are significant issues with maintenance, housekeeping, food quality, customer service, and security that need to be addressed.

    Lovely break. Lovely hotel, staff and area. Neber seen so many mobility scooters which shows how safe everyone feelsCould do with a touch upRoom wasnt swept or mopped very well but grear having bed made up at least. Though had to ask for sheets to be changed midwayEveryone goes on about the food not being great but for a fussy eater i always had lots to choose from though didn't check the vegetarian optionsMicrowave was well used as food could be lukewarm but all thats needed is more or stronger heat lamps over the foodJacuzzzi was grubby and sauna not working. Honeymoon room has great view over harbour.Tad gutted that no one mentioned lovely little area to dip into sea at front right of harbour :( only found it on final day :(Good if team gave visitors tips like thisThat being said would definitely come backThanks Catalonia del mar teamXx , General Manager at Catalonia Del Mar, responded to this review Dear Ann, Thank you for your words and to share your experience with us.     Smell of sewage from the bathroom. View from hotel was nice and in a lovely spot. Not a four star more a three. Staff need to be more customer focussed speaking to everyone and when checking in welcome them to the hotel. Staff at the pool bar were the most tentative.
