A hotel of two halves but overall a good experience

    rating21 May 2026

Just returned from a 4 night stay (female - solo). The hotel is a touch too far away from the central areas and although I mostly walked in, I used taxis on an evening at around 10e. It is also a hotel of 2 halves. The bar/outside terrace is modern and probably refurbed, and a great place to have a drink and food; really enjoyed it. The main restaurant decor is basic and non-descript although the breakfast was fresh, enjoyable and plenty of variety. The pool was very cold and the pool area needs attention as pavers were loose. On a plus always lots of sun beds free. The staff were all really pleasant, from the pool guy to the reception team (especially Rosemaria). Sadly I couldn’t remember the many names but they are a credit to the hotel.I would gladly return in a heartbeat. The biggest plus for me was that I honestly don’t think I’ve seen a better view in any hotel I’ve ever stayed in! I opted to upgrade on check in to a premium sea view room and it was money well spent. Absolutely spectacular and I found myself staying on my balcony a couple of nights with a glass of wine to take it all in! Similarly the bar terrace and pool areas look out onto the sweeping bay. Palma is a delight… safe (I’m 63), very clean and lots to see with the cathedral being a highlight. I found most attractions near to each other on foot and after contemplating the hop on bus, I realised it wasn’t needed so saved the 27e fee by walking. I also walked from the Catalonia to Bellver castle which took 25 mins. I wish I was still at the Catalonia Majorica!!

    The worst hotel in Palma

    rating29 Mar 2026

Firstly, the indoor pool was uncomfortably cold, making it unsuitable for use. More concerningly, we observed a baby removing their nappy in the pool. This was extremely unpleasant and raises serious questions about hygiene and the adequacy of supervision and sanitation procedures.Secondly, our room was not serviced until approximately 6:30pm on one of the days. This is unreasonably late and caused considerable inconvenience. In addition, no fresh towels were provided, which is not in line with expected hospitality standards. Finally, basic amenities were not adequately replenished. Teabags, for example, were not topped up daily; instead, we were provided with a total of four for the entire duration of our stay for a week. This is clearly insufficient.Taken together, these issues reflect a failure to meet reasonable standards of cleanliness, service, and guest care. I would appreciate your prompt response addressing these concerns, along with an explanation of how you intend to prevent similar issues in the future.

    A shame

    rating29 Dec 2025

Having stayed here at least 10 times, this time was a huge disappointment. We had booked one of the larger rooms on the top floor. It was spacious, yet it needed a good spring cleaning and maintenance work. The furniture was cheap. The doors of the wardrobe were hard to open and shut. The hanging rail in the wardrobe constantly fell down with all of our clothes. The flooring seemed to have water damage near the doors to the balconies and needed replacing. Several times we had towels, which we almost falling apart. Where is the quality control? Construction work was being carried out on the main terrace of the hotel due to water damage. Thus there was no access to the terrace, the outdoor pool or the funicular. As a result of which breakfast had to be served in the bar on several days, which burst to capacity and lacked the necessary equipment. On those days, when the breakfast was in the main restaurant, the marvelous view was blocked by construction. If I hadn’t asked about the funicular, when we checked in, we wouldn’t have been informed about the whole situation with the main terrace. We should have been informed of the situation before we arrived, so that we could have rebooked.
