Location

The hotel is set in a privileged and quiet location by the Mediterranean Sea, right next to the beach and 300 m from the centre of Can Picafort. It is an ideal place to take a holiday at any time of the year. The town of Palma de Mallorca and its airport are both 60 km away.

    This place could have been so nice, beautiful suite, but it was just so loud in our room until 11:30 or midnight as we were right above the kitchen. When I asked the front desk gentleman if it would be possible to switch rooms he was super rude and would not entertain the idea. The rest of the staff (servers, cooks, cleaners, bartenders, front desk people) were absolutely wonderful, great food too. The vibe was a bit off for me just because it was such a small resort. The location was okay, next to a fun bar and easy access to boardwalk. But the beach is not as nice as down south and it’s a long drive to go climbing or snorkeling.

    ApartHotel Dunes Platja is a very comfortable ad beautiful property right on the each bank of the beautiful Can Picafort Marina. It is about 20 Minutes walk away from the main marina centre and very perfectly placed away from the hustle of the centre, with direct access to the beach. The property is old but is very well maintained and the rooms are beautifully designed and very cozy giving a homely feeling. The rooms also have a two balcony for both the main and the bed room and has a small studio kitchen with satisfactory cutlery and utensils. It creates a proper definition of being an Aparthotel. We travelled during the low season and the rates were very affordable and stayed very comfortably, the hotel is real value for one for being a 4 star property. The property is well maintained and shiny clean. It has two restaurants both are very cleanly maintained and the whole reception area looks very up-class. As we visited during the low season we had the whole beach for ourselves and there were only few people around which are locals. I would consider the place around the aparthotel to be a very hustling bustling and noisy area during high season, but still the hotel is away from the main are of commotion for those who loves their peace and loneliness. They have a medium sized swimming pool, a sauna, a small Gym, and a Pool table to enjoy your time indoorAll the employees of this aparthotel is very warm, polite, helpful, and kind. Starting from the reception Manager Ms Christine who is very warm, polite and helpful, to Mr Kareem the restaurant Manager who is always available to help with a kind smile. The chef is very lovely and he prepares some wonderful cuisine. The assistant Mr Peter is also very helpful and kind and attends to all your needs in the restaurant. There are many tourist places close to this hotel and the evening or early morning walk along the marina is something you should not miss. CanPicafort is a very good place if you want to be away from the rush in Alcudia, although can Picafort is a German Favourite when it comes to holidaying in Mallorca. ApartHotel Due Platja is worth the stay and a very comfortabe and beautiful property.

    I was with my family from July 21-29 at this aparthotel. I booked a studio through booking.com (as if it had 50m3) but to my surprise I received a mini room of maximum 18m3, which I later changed to an apartment (something more comfortable and spacious) this hotel has false offers (in reality it has 2 types of studios and 2 types of apartments). The dinner and breakfast are disastrous and do not even rise to a 3-star level. few offers at breakfast and dinner, maximum 3 cooked dishes and 2 types of mini salads. Something bad about the culinary offer, I think it is the worst experience in all the years I have visited Mallorca. The good points are the staff at the a-la-cart restaurant and the good food there and the staff in the kitchen. Christina at the reception should look for another job, she has nothing in common with the warmth, smile and goodwill characteristic of the Spanish and one more thing, this hotel is intended for Germans and in general the whole resort is full of Germans. So I will not return to this hotel and this cold resort lacking the Spanish spirit.

    A very pleasant surprise with stunning views

    We only stayed here for half a day without sleeping overnight as our hotel wanted to charge us €500 for another night as we had a night flight and late check out wasn’t available, this was a cheaper option.Reception staff very friendly, hotel and room was spotlessly clean, the room was of a good size and would have everything you need for a holiday. Aircon worked well and the room I think had been recently refurbished as it was modern and spotless. The best part was the stunning panoramic view of the sea (310) it really was breath taking. Lovely pool and park area for children. Beach only a 2 min walk and town centre with restaurants about the 5 mins. A shame we weren’t here longer and only found it by chance as we actually preferred it to the all inclusive family resort we’d stayed in for the holiday.

    Great location but very quiet

    Can picafort is a great family destination and I would love to go back! It’s not too rowdy or loud but not too quiet and has so many great shops and bars and restaurants on the promenade! The hotel was perfectly located and we had a beautiful view of the sea from our balcony. It was literally a 2 minute walk to the beach and bars. The hotel was clean, pleasant and the food was nice. We were half board and there was a good selection however it was more focused on the German customer than the British one and the staff spoke German to us as I think we were the only British guests. There was no entertainment on day or night even though they had lots of space in the lobby bar and outside for something and a huge stocked bar too so we had to leave the hotel after we have eaten our food each night and go out for entertainment. Again not a problem if you want to explore but the option of something even just recorded music and a place to sit with a drink would have been nice. Instead it was silent each night in the hotel instead unlike right outside on the promenade where they had tribute acts and music until 12/1am which was great. I loved the location but the hotel wasn’t for me although it was clean and comfy it was just too quiet and the 1 and only pool was quite small too
