The accommodation was in lush, well kept gardens, and the facilities were more than adequate. We had a wonderful time.

    rating28 Sept 2025

I recently had a holiday at the Duvabitat Apartments with a friend and my elderly mother . I would thoroughly recommend this accommodation to others. The apartment was modern, clean, and had a lovely balcony facing the pool and the mountains. All the staff were excellent; very helpful and friendly. We were particularly impressed with the dining room manager/head waiter Pau, who was always cheerful and attentive . We were also very impressed with the head chef Santiago. My Mum has to have a gluten free diet, and he came out every mealtime to let us know which dishes were suitable for her. She said that she has never had such wonderful service abroad regarding her dietary requirements. Luciano, who delivered the entertainment, was amusing and made the evenings fun. Rafael and the reception staff were very helpful. The accommodation was approximately 15 mins walk from the centre, but it was impossible for my Mum to walk due to reduced mobility, however there was a free shuttle bus from the reception and a local bus service. Poor standards. We checked out in less than 8 hours.

    rating23 Aug 2025

We stayed a matter of hours before checking out with a full refund due to the standards we found. We checked in to an apartment in the habitat part of the hotel. We found the following issues- every air con vent in the apartment had significant mould presenting a health and safety issue. This shows both a disregard for the maintenance needs of this system and basic hygiene of cleaning away the mould. This could be spreading mould via the air con system which is alarming when travelling with children. - Bathroom smelled significantly and had pubic hairs and grime on the floor. The white shower tray was slightly textured and had loads of dirt ground into it. There was mould and dirt in the ceiling panels and along the shower screen. - In the kitchen it wasn’t much better. The crockery was visibly dirty in the cupboard and the cutlery tray was full of dirt and an old scabby plastic tray. The “clean” ice bucket again was visibly dirty. The toaster was melted and looked unsafe to use. - The apartment had a sofa bed which had multiple stains on the main unit around which we were expected to sleep. One of the pillow cases had 5 different stains and would have been clearly visible to whoever made the bed. - The single bedroom…we referred to as the prison cell due to its absence of furniture beyond a single bed and a dirty little fabric stool had significant mould. It was all along the silicone on the window and along the walls. The was a pull cord of some sort and it was literally black with mould. This room also had an ant problem. I fully accept ants can be found in warm countries however this was supposed to be a clean floor and it was visible there was a dirty gap where the ants were entering from. We even found ants in my children’s bed in the neighbouring room. The lampshade over the head of the bed had an accomplished network of cobwebs again from a long period of inadequate cleaning. - Every surface in the living room had a layer of dust. Even the kitchen table. I genuinely cannot fathom how anyone could have prepared this apartment. In the morning we moved the sofa bed back to expose floor which had not been walked on since we arrived. It was visibly dirty. A quick wipe with a tissue showed the floor was in fact filthy. - We also had significant concern over the safety of an electric box located within the reach of children with a flimsy plastic cover which had an electricity symbol on it but could easily be popped off. This showed a junction box with a gap which should a hand be placed inside could reach live components. This would be illegal in the UK. When raising this with reception we were told “well you are in Spain”. We contacted reception within 5 minutes of arrival but due to the time of night had to endure a nights stay. In the morning when we approached reception at first we were told our perception was due to arriving in the night and being tired. Not a helpful comment. We were then told that a cleaner would be sent in or we could be moved to an apartment near by. They did not seem shocked or alarmed by the photos we showed them. These poor safety, hygiene and maintenance standards are clearly accepted here. I have no idea what the cleaner who allegedly cleaned this apartment even did before we arrived. We didn’t expect that another clean would address the ground in long term accumulation of dirt. The safety issues were also a serious concern for us travelling with young children. A further word of warning. The new website creates a very different image to the one that is found in reality. New decor is covered in dust and dirt and the glossy photos do not show the dirt that lies just out of shot. The website also does not explain clearly the room situation in certain parts of the resort. We booked directly and thought we had booked a two bedroom apartment with 2 double rooms. It was in fact one single, a twin and the dirty sofa bed in the dirty living area. Thankfully the manager quickly agreed to give us a full refund for the rest of the stay and by midday we had checked in elsewhere locally to a cleaner and well maintained hotel. They didn’t seem shocked by what we showed them and just seemed to imply it was all about our opinion rather than them failing to meet some very basic standards. We love Pollensa and there are so many great places to stay…go elsewhere like thankfully we have done! Oh yes and breakfast served til 10…stale waffles, cold food in the servery before 10am as everything was turned off and by 10:10 being told to leave as they were cleaning up. Thank god the coffee was good otherwise I think I would have lost my mind!! Marc Fluxà Cabrer, Director General at Duvabitat Apartments, responded to this review Dear guest:Thank you for sharing your experience with us.I would like to apologise for all the issues you describe on your review. Seeing the pictures, there is no much to say as i claerly see that, as you well point, the apartment wasn't ready to be used. Most of comments regarding the cleanliness are always good, but this time we did not meet the standard we would like to have for our guests.I already checked the apartment with the head of the maids as most of issues are avoidable, someone missed at some point into double checking the apartment before it was used.Once more, please accept my deepest apologies, I completely understand your dissapointment.Yours sincerely.

We would love to go back!

    rating21 Apr 2025

We were really pleased with Duvabitat apartments. Our apartment was clean, functional and serviced daily which was great! We stayed half board which we felt represented excellent value for money. The buffet was different every day and of good quality.. of note we did not find the meat and fish to be over cooked (not always the case in buffet restaurants). We loved the friendly and professional service of the waiters, chefs and reception staff - they couldn’t have been more helpful, attentive or accommodating of our children! The apartment hotel had a nice mix of families, couples, small groups of friends and singles. Many people were cycling. The three pools were not heated but clean and we used them despite it being April! The indoor pool and spa looked inviting but we did not need to use it. The tennis and padel courts were well used and had a lovely atmosphere. We enjoyed the 20 minute stroll into beautiful Puerta pollenca and hired a car to explore other parts of the island. Our only negative experience involved the sports massage service, which is probably operated by someone exterior. The gentleman arrived over fifteen minutes late for the prebooked massage with no smile or apology. My husband was made to feel like a burden rather than a valued customer and elected not to continue at this point-a shame as his behaviour was so different to the warmth shown to us by everyone else at Duva. I would highly recommend these apartments. We would love to come back! Marc Fluxà Cabrer, Director General at Duvabitat Apartments, responded to this review Dear guest:We are happy to read that you liked our setting and pleasant staff and most important that you had an excellent holiday with us.It's wonderful to know you enjoyed our restaurant, facilities and location.Shame that you didn't not use our SPA but good you were brave enough to swim outside.I apologize for the massage issue, I'll speak with the persons in charge of the gym and massage service to find out what happened and to avoid that to happen again. It will be a pleasure to welcome you in the future again.Yours sincerely.
