  A comfortable and good value hotel

  We had a comfortable stay on Saturday night.The welcome and front desk were good, friendly and helpful.The room was very clean and functional with a comfortable bed and a decent sized shower room.The breakfast was good and varied.The front desk helped us to hire a cab to tour the city which was fantastic.The one niggle was that the shower was cold in the morning.However this is a hotel I would stay at again and is well situated.

  One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in

  The filthiest hotel I have stayed in in the last 10 years .Listed as a 4 star on Booking , it’s a 1 star , 2 at best . The paint in reception is peeling off , the rooms are covered in food stains , boot marks and what could even be bodily fluids .There was also an industrial air co unit making allot of noise outside my room .. I have videos and lots of pictures

  Horrible, disaster service especially in the restaurant and from waiters

  Horrible service in the restaurant. To start with the food was a disgrace, specially considering that you are in ROME.. You get a plate of pasta, with pasta all stuck together and over cooked. Two of the waiters were extremely rude. Always trying to kicking us out from the restaurant when the tables where empty. They don't allow you to go down in the breakfast area with a laptop, or else don't allow you to wear sandals (they claimed due to safety in case a table falls on you) We paid for breakfast but didn't allow us to take a banana with us. A waitress shouted at us for thinking that I took something in my pocket from the breakfast area and when I denied it i had to show her my pockets that they were empty and she started talking badly. Extremly BAD HORRIBLE service. The reception guys are very nice and try to help you. But the hotel in general lacks big time from everything. anastasio passalacqua, Proprietario at Villa Maria Regina, responded to this review Hello Cynthia, we are so sad about waht are you saying cause our staff, as you told about reception, is always kind and calm with our clients. About sandals exatcly you were earing slippers and is not allowed to enter the restaurant with them: in many hotels isn't allowed instead you are at the beach. Our staff let enter you anyway but we have some people standing waiting for the table and we kindly asked you if you could use our big hall to use the laptop: in the hall you have tables, sofas and a speed wifi. You can also ask for more coffee here. No one checked your pockets but we remember you shouted out our waiters. We work everyday to do better and better and isn't polite to offend our hotel if you were disappointed about rules.

  I travelled solo but as part of a Cosmos tour group. The fridge did not cool down for 2 days. The safety deposit box never worked despite promises it would be fixed. There wasn't a kettle. The fitness area is 10 euros extra for one hour unless there is a sport group staying there in which case they get exclusive use. It's a frequent case.

  EARRINGS GOT LOST BEWARE

  Beware of this Hotel! My diamond earrings was stolen. I forgot my earrings inside my toiletry bag which was inside the bathroom and it GOT LOST. I already emailed them but no reply. I was part of the Cosmos tour and stayed in the hotel just this Oct 12 2019 Room 203.Cha GutierrezPhilippines HVMR, back office at Villa Maria Regina, responded to this review Dear Guest,all our rooms are equipped with a safe box to store valuables. At the reception we also have a larger one for special needs. We have an insurance coverage against damage to things and people. If you had made a complaint to the police about the loss or theft of the earrings we would have made the complaint to our insurance company. Please note that to affirm the criminal liability of someone without the judgment of a Court is a criminal offense in Italy. We are very sad and very sorry to read your review. It has never happened such an unpleasant situation in our structure and we can guarantee that all our staff is qualified and honest. If we have any updates about your earrings we will let you know. If you find them please let us know. We trust our staff very much. We do remain at your complete disposal.Regards
