  Beautiful hotel with old school charm

  The history in the Gaya is clear. You can feel the history as you walk around. The traditional family feel remains and the staff are attentive, caring and always happy to help or guide the guests.Reception staff are real characters and Salvatore is a charmer 🇮🇹The rooms are spacious and the balcony is big. Not overly modern but fit with the history of the Hotel. Bathrooms are small but the fittings are of a high quality.Cleaning staff clean everyday and the rooms are always spotless. Breakfast is adequate but maybe a new toaster is required and an additional staff member to keep tables and pots cleared quicker. We booked a refrigerator for the room. These are only adequate for drinks as they don't get very cold. Maybe new ones are required.We look forward to our next stay in the beautiful hotel Gaya.

  Small Hotel with lots of Old Fashioned Charm - close to the beach

  Perfect small family run hotel close to the beach. Same family since 1960's. Decor has an old fashioned charm not to be confused with out dated. Very clean and rooms up to date with modern facilities. Amazing buffet breakfast included - not the large commercial hotel choice however plenty of options. Hot and cold drinks - juice - hot options normally egg and meat - different each day. Rolls and bread. Cheese, meats, yogurts, pastries. I'm not sure what more you could want. Beds made up every day. Most guests are German but the whole resort is favoured by the Germans. It was a bonus not to have loud drunk English and I am English!! Beautiful bay with many classy restaurants at reasonable prices. Cannot recommend the hotel and resort enough.

  Good points: Just a few steps from a nice beach.Close to other nice beaches near by.Few steps to the main shopping boulevard, car hire, restaurants etcNice and helpful staff.30 min from Airport by taxi. (€45)Bad points: Our room had a bad sewage, drainage smell in bathroom.Mattresses are bit old can feel the springs.One of the sockets didn't work.Breakfast is quite poor. Internet is a bit iffy.Majority of guests are 60 + years old. (We are closer to 40!) Keys are massively large and heavy so have to leave them with reception. (No card keys!)Needs quite a bit of an update!! Very old school !

  very well run family hotel close to the beach but with a very private swimming pool with olive trees etc. excellent service. hotel right on the beach and only a stroll from bars and restaurants on the flat. not too noisy but enough to do until 12.00pm veery wel priced.

  Fabulous Location, drab rooms and meals.

  We booked this hotel with half board for five days in May. The location on the beach is fabulous and it is in the middle of Paguera just off the boulevard beach side. The Pool area was very attractive. However the rooms are drab and the beds were the worst I have encountered for a long time, the mattrasses were made from cheap hard foam sitting on wooden planks, covered only by a thin sheet, no protectors or mattrass toppers, I had to remake the bed with a blanket over the mattrass under the sheet just to get to sleep. The bathrooms were old with a shower over a very high old bathtub, bathroom toiletries were supplied only once, a directive from management. The hall ways were dark as the lighting had half the bulbs removed. The TV was limited all in German, the wifi was not free and expensive, unusual these days.The meals were very stingy with the food disappearing very fast and not replaced unless requested and then only a very small amount, certainly not up to the standard of other similar hotels in Mallorca.The dining room staff were pleasant however some other staff members were cold and unfriendly.We feel the hotel rooms need to be revamped, with new bathrooms and comfortable beds. Parking is anywhere you can find a park in the surrounding streets which is usually available not too far away, there is a bus to Palma from the boulevarde which is convenient if you wish to dine in Palma.The hotel has some very nice original art in the common areas.We will not return to this hotel as there is better value and comfort elsewhere, it is run on a shoestring budget, but it could be an exquisite boutique hotel with an upgrade.
