  Awful hotel and 2 star at best!!

  Absolutely awful. We are here now and not even been 24 hours and cannot come home. Thank god we are only doing 4 nights! I wouldn’t even class this as a 2 star and Butlins back home is better! The food I wouldn’t even feed to my dog. Snack bar during the day is disgusting and no options apart from beef burger and chips which were out all day. No good if you don’t eat meat! The room is outdated and not as described on the website. The bathroom stunk of sewerage which we complained about but still smells. Have to pay €11 euros per day to use the safe which I’ve never had to do! They kick you out of the pool at 6pm which we were not made aware of and won’t even allow you to lay on the beds even though it is 31 degrees and practically usher you off the beds. It wasn’t even 6pm when they asked us to go! The kids pool area was slippery. The pools were really murky and freezing. The entertainment was shocking. Our first breakfast and we couldn’t even sit down as no tables! When we finally found a table we had to clear it ourselves. No cutlery and no coffee as the machine was broken. The only thing edible in my opinion is the bread! Nothing to do locally as nothing around. I’ve travelled a lot but I’ve never been to a 4 star at such poor quality. We cannot wait to go home and lucky only booked 4 nights!

  Some positives but terrible location

  Food - good selection but not enough staff, plates build up. Kevin works very hard and is extremely kind but needs more support- I noticed no management around checking or helping Rooms - very clean and modern great storage, beds too soft for us but that’s a personal preference Pool area - ok, shame about the view just buildings - guests need to clean up after themselves Entertainment- awful, like staying at Butlins but we prefer to venture out, the problem is there is nowhere to go Reception staff - very helpful & kind The location is in the middle of a residential area, NOTHING to do, a few bars and restaurants We left at 7 this morning, went for breakfast ( early breakfast from 6.30) and asked for some pastries that had already been cooked but hadn’t been put out yet - kitchen staff extremely rude to my husband and told him very abruptly they were closed, despite giving me a pastry 10 mins earlier!!! Such a shame to experience this just before we left. We will not return, I would not recommend booking.   Big old hotel and lack of facilities for children. Read reviews before booking!

  We spent a long weekend (Friday-Monday) at the Globales Maioris and have chosen this hotel specifically because it seemed to be perfect for our little family (3 years old daughter). Well, we should have read reviews before booking… The children’s pool was closed and under renovation. The other two pools were open from 10AM only.The only playground was in very poor condition and dull. We had all inclusive package. The food was good, wide selection of warm and cold dishes. The coffee was just bad. Honestly. Might be due to the machines not being maintained properly. (?!) The room was minimalistic but ok except that the water pressure in the sink was close to zero and for some reason one morning there was only hot water coming from it.If you are planning to stay in Mallorca with a toddler, I’m sure you can find another hotel with more facilities and activities for children. Please don’t waste your money on this one.   A very good hotel; it’s clean, the food is delicious and varied, and I’d like to give a special mention to the bar staff, Raúl and César – they’re great lads with a good sense of humour and are very friendly. What really surprised me was that the barman, Raúl, speaks Russian – that was a real surprise. I was also really pleased by the enthusiasm with which they go about their work.
